Midland Wild Guardian Camera Trap - 20MPX

Outfitted with a 90-degree lens and automatic infrared filter, this camera trap captures video and photos in JPEG format. The detection angle of the PIR sensor is 80 degrees, ensuring accurate motion detection. With IP65-rated waterproofing, it offers full protection against dust and withstands water jets from any direction.

10 LEDs and a long-lasting battery

Operating as a video camera, the camera trap captures crisp images day or night using 10 infrared LEDs. It is powered by 4 AA batteries, which enable long-term observations.

    1. "Durable battery" - it's more about "efficient use of energy" because there is no battery or accumulator included in the set. 2. The device requires 4 AA batteries or accumulators to operate, not 8 as stated in the description. A nice feature is the option to select the number of photos (1-3 in .jpg format) the device takes after detecting motion, as well as set their resolution. Videos are saved as .avi files. If the battery level is low, the IR function does not work, but if motion is detected in the presence of another light source, recording starts. Regarding a previous review: the manufacturer is indeed from Italy, but the device is marked "Made in China" ;)

    A compact and handy camera trap. I was positively surprised that it was made in Italy, not China. It does lack Wi-Fi, but for me that's not a problem at all.
