Small, lightweight lid for a US canteen cup. I was looking for a lid for my original US stainless steel cup, which is now many years old and has often been used over an open fire. I didn't want to part with it and therefore didn't want to buy a complete set. Since the MFH lid is not the original US Army version, it apparently has a slightly different shape and does not fit well or flush on the cup. I managed by using pliers to bend and adjust the edges of both the cup and the lid so they fit better together. Now it works reasonably well, and it's definitely sufficient for covering the cup while cooking so the water boils faster and no ash gets in.

I really liked the set consisting of the MFH cup, MFH lid, and Nalgene Oasis 1l bottle in an M-Tac cover. It's the best set I’ve had so far. I strongly recommend such a set.

Unfortunately, this lid does not fit the original US Army cup – it’s too small, I had to bend the edges to make it usable, but it still isn’t right. It’s a pity there’s no information about incompatibility with the original.

20 zlotys for a lid seems like a lot, but it’s worth it – the way it’s put on is very well thought out. The lid is slightly smaller than the cup, which makes it fit really tightly, so you can easily pull the cup out of the fire by the lid, which is super helpful when the handle is hot – and that often happens during cooking.

The combination of MFH cup, MFH lid, MFH stand, and Nalgene Oasis 1l bottle in an M-Tac cover attached to a Wisport Sparrow 30l backpack (molle system) really appealed to me. In my opinion, it’s the best possible set. I honestly recommend such a kit.

It seems that the lid was designed specifically for the Army Canteen cup. It helps boil water much faster. When buying the cup, I think it’s worth getting the lid right away. I would buy it again.
