The compass itself is solid, but I’m deducting a star for the case, which is poor quality, too large, badly sewn, and has a lousy clasp. I think it would have been better if the manufacturer hadn’t included it at all. The compass itself seems to be made of good materials.

The compact, foldable prismatic compass MFH Fox Outdoor Precision is housed in a durable metal casing that resists mechanical damage. It ensures precise determination of directions and azimuth, as well as calculations of distance and object size in the field. This compass is equipped with a spirit level, sighting mirror, lens-equipped sight, and a tripod mounting thread. A nylon pouch featuring a belt loop is also provided.

The collapsible black casing is crafted from metal, guaranteeing a robust build and resilience to heavy usage. A built-in spirit level aids in precise device alignment, while the lanyard loop along with tripod or theodolite threading boosts its utility in the field.
The rotating dial is infused with an alcohol-based liquid, preventing freezing, dampening vibrations, and allowing for clear readings while in motion. Sapphire bearings provide smooth and accurate rotation of the Power Magnet magnetic needle. Located on the bottom of the compass, angle and gradient tables assist with terrain analysis.
Functionality as a sighting compass includes side scales in both metric and imperial units, a lens-equipped sight, front and rear sights, and a map compass scale.
The design is enhanced by an internal mirror, enabling quick and easy readings.
