Temperature ratings and use conditions

The temperature range for using the Mummy sleeping bag is determined according to the EN ISO 23537-1 standard:

  • T-comfort: 2.4°C – the lower temperature limit at which a woman can sleep through the night without feeling cold or discomfort
  • T-limit: -3.1°C – the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep comfortably without feeling cold
  • T-extreme: -19.6°C – the lowest temperature for survival in the sleeping bag, though not recommended for regular use

Polyester shell construction

The outer layer made of polyester protects effectively against abrasion, mechanical damage, and moisture. Inside, the polyester lining ensures a comfortable feel against the skin. This combination works well for both demanding expeditions and relaxed camping trips.

Hollow Fiber insulation

Thermal insulation is provided by double layers of Hollow Fiber with a weight of 225 g/m2, which are lightweight and highly compressible. The quilted structure keeps the insulation evenly distributed, ensuring optimal warmth throughout the bag. The insulation retains its loft even under heavy use and allows for proper airflow. The fibers do not lose their thermal insulation properties after getting wet or washing, and they don't trigger allergic reactions, making this sleeping bag a good choice for people allergic to down.

Two-way zipper

This model features a two-way zipper with hook-and-loop closure running the entire length of the sleeping bag.

Hood and draft collar with drawstring

The anatomical hood boosts heat retention by enclosing the head and minimizing heat loss in cold conditions. Its design protects against strong winds and moisture. The shoulder area and collar are adjustable with drawstrings, effectively blocking cold air from entering the sleeping bag.

    My previous sleeping bag lasted me over a decade, but this new one is a perfect replacement. It is well made, from a material that feels pleasant to the touch and doesn't get dirty easily. I’ve already spent a few nights in it in the forest and I have to admit that even at the stated temperature it works great – it actually got too warm for me, as it was about 6 degrees outside and I slept only in shorts, otherwise it would have been too hot. It keeps the temperature very well, I definitely recommend it.

    I doubt whether the minus 10 degrees are realistic, but at minus 2 degrees it's comfortably warm. Together with the MFH bivvy bag, it's a good combo. The zippers also work perfectly and don't catch. The size is perfect and the material feels pleasant, too. I can therefore recommend buying it. It's hard to find anything better in this price range.

    The sleeping bag is amazing – in summer, you can even sleep in just your underwear without covering yourself with anything. At the beginning of October, with temperatures around -1°C, it still provides a very comfortable sleep. Even my brother, who is always cold, was satisfied when he used the sleeping bag during finishing work at home. Packing the sleeping bag into the sack is a separate adventure and quite a workout, as you can work up a sweat doing it. At this price, I highly recommend it to everyone who enjoys sleeping in the great outdoors.
