I've had the shoes for half a year. On both, the tongue presses heavily on the foot, and it hasn't adjusted over time. The material gets wet quickly, even after walking on wet grass, so I don't understand the 'waterproof with membrane' labeling. They're not suitable for the mountains, unless it's dry. The only advantage is the sole. I don't think they are worth the price. They can be used for everyday walking, but for hiking it's better to look for something better.
Merrell Speed Strike 2 MID Boots - Rock
Lightweight, durable footwear made from recycled materials and equipped with a waterproof membrane. The model combines the functions of trekking and tactical footwear. The stiffened and elevated upper guarantees the stability of the foot even in difficult terrain.
Synthetic leather, mesh material
The upper is made from a combination of synthetic leather and tear-resistant mesh fabric.
Additional reinforcements in the toe area and on the upper provide increased protection in difficult terrain.
Waterproof membrane
The breathable and waterproof membrane effectively prevents water from getting inside, while wicking away moisture. As a result, feet stay dry even during intensive use.
EVA foam insole, Cleansport NXT
Removable insole made of 50% recycled EVA foam.
Cleansport NXT is an innovative technology that eliminates odors. It is based on bacteria introduced into the structure of the fabric, which, when in contact with sweat, activate enzymes that destroy the bacteria responsible for odor. As a result, the boots stay fresh for a long time.
Rubber sole, EVA midsole
The Speed Strike 2 features a dual-layer EVA foam midsole that provides maximum support to the foot, great stabilization and impact protection.
The durable, flexible rubber sole is characterized by abrasion resistance and provides excellent cushioning. Its non-slip surface and deep tread offer great traction even on wet and slippery surfaces.
Lacing system, inserts at the tongue
A high sewn-in tongue prevents sand, dust and other debris from entering the boots. A two-zone lacing system allows the boots to fit precisely, and loops located at the back make it easy to put on and take off the boots.

Excellent shoes, I've been using them since fall 2024 mainly during mountain trips. Wearing comfort, convenience, stability, lightness, and breathability – they are truly outstanding! However, hikes on alpine trails and during rain showed that they are not waterproof – after walking in the rain, my feet were soaked (referring to rainfall, not wading through rivers or mud). The shoes are NOT waterproof, keep that in mind – a thin layer on the midfoot lets water in. I also miss reinforcement at the front of the shoes. Other than that, everything else is top notch.
-
The biggest downside of these shoes is the lack of proper ventilation and poor moisture wicking – both in autumn, spring, and winter. I bought this model along with a friend, and despite using different trekking socks, our feet sweat quickly and the moisture stays inside regardless of the weather. This may also be due to the impregnation used by the manufacturer.

Very good trekking shoes: high and warm sole, sturdy tread with large gaps, which makes cleaning easier. Definitely worth recommending.
-
Very good shoes from a well-known manufacturer, made very solidly and providing great comfort of use, yet their price is reasonable for this quality. I sincerely recommend them.
-
The trekking shoes are comfortable; even after many hours in difficult terrain, there is no discomfort. The price is favorable, and it's hard to find a better product in this price class. I definitely recommend them.

These are great shoes of very high quality and excellent features. They are lightweight, well made, and provide great support for the foot. They grip the ground well. Perfect for long use, comfortable for many hours. Stylish and aesthetic – they really suit me and I can confidently recommend them to others, especially since the price is very attractive.

The shoes are really good: warm, soft, with a flexible sole and a universal tread. Unfortunately, they don't fit my foot – I've spent a long time looking for shoes that wouldn't cause me any discomfort while walking. It's a shame, because these are great shoes.

Quite good trekking shoes. Comfortable, even after several hours in difficult terrain I didn't feel any problems. At this price, it'll be hard to find something better.
