I haven't had a chance to test the gloves yet, but at first glance you can see that they are very well made. The tightening strap works great – it effectively protects against moisture and secures the wrists against cold and injuries.
Mechanix Wear ColdWork Peak Tactical Gloves - Black/Grey
Winter gloves available in Black/Grey. Featuring advanced PrimaLoft Gold insulation and a waterproof barrier, these gloves keep hands dry in wet conditions. They provide excellent protection against cold and safeguard hands from abrasions and cuts.
PrimaLoft Gold insulation, softshell material
The gloves provide excellent protection against the cold while also safeguarding the hands from abrasions and cuts. Featuring softshell material on the back of the hand, they offer robust defense against wind and moisture. Inside, the gloves are equipped with PrimaLoft 100g Gold synthetic insulation, ensuring superior warmth and comfort in challenging weather.
Armortex reinforcements and touchscreen compatibility
The surface of the working area is coated with Armortex, a robust material ensuring an excellent grip. Armortex reinforcements are also applied to the upper part of the gloves, covering both the thumb and fingertips. Protective padding, 5 mm thick, safeguards the knuckles from injury. The feature allowing touchscreen operation means the gloves can stay on during use.
Extended cuffs, snap buckle
The model includes extended cuffs designed to shield against cold air infiltration. Thanks to the drawstrings, the cuffs secure tightly around the wrist. Another benefit of this model is the snap buckle that connects the gloves together, simplifying their transportation and storage.
EN388-3122XP and EN511-221 standards
The gloves meet the protective standard EN388 at level 3122XP in terms of mechanical hazard resistance, which means:
- 3: abrasion resistance (scale 0–4)
- 1: cut resistance (scale 0–5)
- 2: tear resistance (scale 0–4)
- 2: puncture resistance (scale 0–4)
- X: cut resistance – TDM test (ISO 13997) (scale A–F)
- P: impact protection (test passed)
Cold protection complies with the EN511 standard at level 221, which means:
- 2: resistance to convective cold (scale 0–4)
- 2: resistance to contact cold (scale 0–4)
- 1: resistance to water penetration (0 or 1)
The scales used in the EN388 and EN511 standards define the level of glove protection: a value of 0 means no protection, while the highest values (4, 5) indicate the maximum level of resistance. For water penetration resistance: 0 means penetration, 1 means no penetration.
The designation X indicates that the parameter was not tested or is not applicable. The designation P indicates that the glove meets the requirements for impact protection.

Mechanix gloves, as is often the case with this brand's products, are made from high-quality materials. You can immediately see that they are solid and durable. Bending the fingers feels a bit stiff. The sizing is not completely accurate (hence the 4/5 rating) – I chose a size that was too large (but they will make a good gift), so I bought a smaller pair and these fit just right.

The gloves are well-made, providing warmth and comfort when worn. They effectively protect against cold and moisture. Thanks to the Armortrex lining, the grip is secure and tools don’t slip from your hand. You can still feel everything well while wearing them, which is very important to me. I definitely recommend them, great product.

This is another pair of Mechanix gloves in my collection. This brand really makes great gloves. This model is exceptionally warm and provides very good protection against impacts or sharp objects. It's perfect for tough jobs in severe frost but is also suitable for a walk in the woods or a mountain trip. The long cuff effectively protects against wind and snow. It doesn't offer much grip because it's thick and strong—it's made for different tasks. I recommend them if you don't need them for precise activities.

This is my fourth pair of Mechanix and just like the previous ones, I am very satisfied. The gloves are warm, strong (several layers of reinforcement), and waterproof. They are stiffer than typical winter models, so you need to bend your fingers harder. I recommend them.

Big plus for water resistance! For scooter riding up to 0°C, they're great – hands stay warm. Very good for work, although a bit too thick for precise tasks. Anyone looking for maximum protection will be satisfied, but if precision in low temperatures is most important, it's better to look for another model.

The gloves protect well against water. As for warmth, at -10 degrees without moving your hands/fingers, your fingertips get cold. When working and moving your hands, it's okay, but for a calm walk with the dog, it's better if it's warmer (up to about -5 degrees). To sum up – they are okay, but I expected a bit more for this price and brand.
-
Gloves highly resistant to wind and water. They are quite thick and not very stretchy, but they keep your hands warm. Solid workmanship, they should last a long time. Touchscreen functionality works variably, sometimes better, sometimes worse. The grip is firm, nothing slips from your hands. Thanks to the reinforcements, they deserve only positives.

Perfect for cycling. Very good quality. Fast and hassle-free shipping. The best online store, always top quality products. They have never let me down. Best regards!
-
The gloves are quite thick, very warm, and in my opinion, waterproof. The thickness reduces precision, but they have an adjustable cuff. Another successful pair of Mechanix. As usual – touchscreen compatibility. I am very happy with the purchase. I recommend them.

Great gloves for chilly days. In very low temperatures, they might not be warm enough. They stay dry for a long time. Well-fitted and pleasant to the touch. The strap tightens securely. The clip to fasten them together is a nice addition. Fast shipping and professional service. I recommend!

The gloves are excellent – warm and durable, perfect for winter. I am very satisfied, although they are not designed for precise tasks. You can shoot an AK and change the magazine, but it's best to do the reloading without gloves.
-
Very good, warm winter gloves. Due to the thick construction, it's hard to do precise tasks, but that's rare in the cold. The cuff holds well, and being able to use touch screens is a big plus. The cut resistance is at a high level. I recommend them.
-
Warm, waterproof (they really don't let in even standing water), durable, and knife cuts leave no marks. They fit the hand well, the grip is decent, though not as secure as in thin rubber-coated gloves. The only downside is reduced precision due to thickness, but that's the trade-off.
-
Very warm and comfortable gloves, great for freezing weather. Handling weapons in them is rather difficult, but they are perfect for working with equipment.
