I am a fan of MAPA camouflage. The neck warmer works great, especially on colder days – I usually use it as protection against the wind. I've also used it during strong sunlight as a cover for my head and neck. I recommend it.
Multifunctional protective sling in MAPA camouflage, made of airy and elastic fabric in the form of a seamless sleeve. The material used guarantees a high degree of air permeability and moisture absorption, making it skin-friendly. The sling will prove useful in tactical training, survival, ASG and recreational outdoor activities. Although intended for the civilian market, it will also be appreciated by professionals in the uniformed services.
The sling provides protection from wind, dust, sun, cold and sweat.
The camouflage pattern MAPA was designed by Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, author of, among other publications, Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools for designing military camouflage (Gdansk 2015). The innovative design, supported by convincing theoretical and experimental arguments, including computer analysis of thousands of photographs of the terrain, attracted the attention of specialists and military clothing manufacturers. In 2017, the MAPA camouflage made its debut at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce as a camouflage pattern for the Dromader system of armor and uniforms from Maskpol, which is part of the Polish Armament Group. The system was created for soldiers of the Territorial Defense Army, but the MAPA camouflage itself was also considered as a perspective pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces, where it could replace the wz.93 camouflage. Unfortunately, the MAPA camouflage has not been implemented as an official camouflage pattern of the Polish Army to date.
Highlights of the MAPA camouflage in the basic forest variant:
- 6 colors that form layers resembling levels on a map,
- colors optimized for operations in the forests of Central Europe,
- use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and anamorphosis effect,
- biomorphic shapes making the design similar to vegetation,
- strongly contrasting elements imitating flashes of light and shadows,
- deformation of the masked silhouette using macro pattern,
- color noise reproduced by means of a micro pattern.
The MAPA pattern is an interesting alternative to the best contemporary camouflage patterns such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn or Finnish M/05. In some respects, it is more advanced than them, and better reproduces the colors found in Central European forests in the period from later spring to early autumn.
When folded, it takes up very little space and does not weigh down your pocket. It can be worn in many ways, for example, as a balaclava, a scarf to protect the lower part of the face, a headband, a cap, a scarf.

The Maskpol STM-03 scarf in MAPA B camouflage, which in my opinion is better suited for spring and summer because it has more vibrant green than MAPA A. It is a bit wider than the Maskpol STM-01, and at the same time made of material that feels and shines a bit differently, although the photos here don't really reflect that. According to the manufacturer's label, the material consists of 95% polyester and 5% spandex, which makes the scarf very flexible and stretchy.

The Maskpol STM-01 scarf in MAPA A camouflage, which I would describe as summer-autumn. It's a bit narrower than the STM-03 model, but made from a more pleasant material. The edges are not secured and the scarf frays quickly.
-
The scarf is light and breathable, making it perfect for summer. Unfortunately, contrary to the description, it does not effectively protect against wind or cold. I am attaching a photo showing the thickness of the scarf and a comparison with another version (in the photos, this is the longer and wider one). I'd like to add: I understand MAPA is not a winter camouflage, but it would be nice if Maskpol offered something warmer in their lineup.
-
The scarf is very pleasant to the touch, the material is flexible and doesn't feel like tissue paper as in some other products. The camouflage is great. And it's made in Poland.
-
Great workmanship, very good material, and excellent camouflage. I would give it 5 stars, but: - the neck warmer is too short for me (if it were about 15 cm longer, I could pull it at the base from both sides so that it would sit better on my neck and in front of my throat); besides, you can't make a classic ninja-style balaclava out of it, - it's a little too tight – with a more developed trapezius muscle, the base of the neck warmer moves upward, which I described earlier, - the material is too thin for winter.
-
The scarf material is stretchy and comfortable to wear. The camouflage looks excellent.
-
Great Mapa camouflage. Functional neck warmer. I recommend it.
-
The scarf is flexible, fits well, and the camouflage pattern looks great, perfectly matching both the shirt and the MAPA hat.
-
Very nice and well-designed camouflage. It's just a pity that the Ministry of Defense didn't accept this new pattern.
-
A comfortable neck warmer made of high-quality material and a great camouflage pattern. I definitely recommend it.
-
The product looks good in terms of both quality and appearance – I sincerely recommend it.
