Thanks to the electronic regulation of current flow, the decrease in light output as the battery runs out is much less noticeable. The flashlight has two light modes: a higher one with a brightness of 245 lumens and a range of 150 meters, and a lower one, which is useful for everyday use and saves energy.
In the higher mode, the flashlight will shine for about 2h15min, the lower mode provides operation for about 27 hours.

I haven’t found another flashlight this solid with 245 lumen power that works 2.5 hours on regular AA batteries. (The new model is in the USA, has 351 lumens, but is unavailable in Europe.) It’s worth comparing with Nitecore or Olight with two AA – for me, there’s nothing better. Nitecore and Olight make good flashlights with 18650, but the battery costs extra, and CR123 are neither cheap nor easy to find. That’s all...

The best flashlight at this price. High build quality, hard to find a Nitecore or Olight using AA batteries that matches its parameters, and AA batteries are available everywhere. Comes with a decent case and two spare batteries. Great choice for a gift.

The flashlight works well – it gives a lot of light, is comfortable and handy. The only downside is the power-on system: by twisting the head, which means it can turn on by itself in your pocket and drain the batteries.
