MultiCam is an advanced camouflage pattern created in 2002 by the US company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) under the Objective Force Warrior program. The objective was to design a versatile camouflage pattern effective across diverse terrains and fluctuating environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern comprises seven colors, facilitating gradient transitions between hues of green, brown, and beige, allowing it to adapt dynamically to its surroundings. In forested regions, it blends with greens, while in desert areas, it assimilates browns and beiges. It is particularly effective in Central and Eastern European environments during autumn and in areas with dry vegetation. MultiCam has achieved global acclaim, being employed by various armed forces and special units. In 2010, the US Army officially adopted this camouflage for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the earlier Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available to the civilian market, making it a favored option among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
