MultiCam is an advanced camouflage design created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision, in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs), as a part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. The intent was to develop a flexible camouflage pattern that performs well in diverse terrains and varying environmental settings. The MultiCam pattern features seven colors, producing smooth transitions between green, brown, and beige tones. This allows it to seamlessly integrate with surroundings, adopting green hues in wooded areas and brown or beige tones in desert landscapes. In Central and Eastern Europe, it is especially effective in autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has achieved international acclaim and is employed by numerous military forces and special units. In 2010, it was officially adopted by the US Army for soldiers in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Additionally, the pattern is accessible to civilians, becoming a favorite among military or airsoft enthusiasts.
