M-Tac Elite Gen.II Protective Gorget for ballistic inserts - MultiCam

A gorget for ballistic inserts designed for effective protection of the neck and upper back from shrapnel. The construction is appropriately contoured so as not to interfere with other equipment components, providing optimal freedom of head movement, even when wearing a helmet.

The module is made from durable 500D Cordura in MultiCam camouflage, characterized by excellent resistance to mechanical damage, wear, and loads. On the inner side of the shoulder part, a spacer mesh is used, reducing pressure and ensuring great ventilation.

The gorget consists of 2 elements fastened with Velcro. The neck part is mounted to the chest panel in the MOLLE system of tactical vests, and the rear protection is attached to the shoulder area using straps with sewn-on Velcro. The design allows for detachment of the front element and using only the shoulder section. In this case, the neck part can be mounted folded at the front of the tactical vest.

The front section protects the neck at the front, while the rear covers the shoulders, neck, and trapezius muscle. The module's design provides protection from the top edge of the chest plate to the back part of the vest, additionally shielding the sides of the shoulder straps.

The model is equipped with a Velcro panel for attaching various patches or emblems, such as a national flag, unit insignia, or so-called Morale Patches.

MultiCam represents a cutting-edge camouflage design introduced by the US-based Crye Precision in 2002, in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. The aim was to develop a multifunctional camouflage pattern that performs effectively across diverse terrains and varying environmental settings. The MultiCam pattern incorporates seven distinct colors, creating gradient transitions among different shades of green, brown, and beige. This adaptability allows it to blend with surroundings by taking on green hues in forested regions and brown or beige tones in desert landscapes. It performs exceptionally well in Central and Eastern European settings, especially during autumn or in dry vegetative areas. Renowned worldwide, MultiCam is utilized by a wide range of military forces and special operations units. In 2010, the US Army officially adopted it as the standard camouflage for troops in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available to civilian consumers, making it a favored choice among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
