MultiCam Camouflage
MultiCam is an advanced camouflage pattern, created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs), as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. The aim was to develop a universal pattern effective in various terrain and weather conditions. The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colors that create smooth transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows the pattern to dynamically adapt to the background, gaining greenish hues in forested areas or brown-beige in desert regions—in Central and Eastern Europe, it works particularly well in autumn and dry vegetation periods. MultiCam gained worldwide recognition and popularity among many military and special units. In 2010, the camouflage was officially adopted by the U.S. Army as the pattern for soldiers in Afghanistan, replacing the previously used Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available to civilian users, making it a popular choice among military enthusiasts and airsoft players.
