I chose the version without Gore-Tex because I bought the shoes mainly for spring, summer, and autumn. I have been using them for half a year and they are really very durable, especially compared to the lighter Zephyrs. The Vibram sole is hard but flexible – you don't feel small stones or sticks like in trekking shoes. The footwear is very comfortable, quite wide, and gives the impression of being very solid. After getting wet, they dry quickly, which is a big advantage, and the breathability works well during hot weather. The laces are durable, do not come undone, and the ankle lock has its pros and cons – it's hard to take the shoes off quickly, so it's best to wear them all day. The reinforcement at the toes resembles that in safety shoes – it protects your toes well. The insoles can be easily replaced, for example with Meindl models for not much money.

The shoe is very well made and provides excellent stability for the foot. The sole guarantees good grip on various surfaces. For me, the lack of a membrane is an advantage, which is exactly what I was looking for in this model. I definitely recommend it.

The shoes are great for me, you don't have to break them in because they're comfortable right away. The sizing runs large – I have a 29 cm foot and bought size 46, but 45 would have been better. I kept this size because there's a metal plate at the tip, like in work shoes, so I add an extra insole and thick sock, as I need it to be soft due to a broken toe and a protruding bone. I definitely recommend them!
