The Light My Fire fire starter is equipment worth having with you in any situation—especially the FireSteel 2.0 BioScout model made a great impression on me. It is very durable—the thick core provides powerful sparks, and the whole design fits well in the hand, regardless of whether I'm wearing gloves or my hands are wet. The bioplastic handle is slightly rough, which makes it easy to hold even during precise movements. In terms of functionality, it works excellently—it produces very hot, numerous sparks, which easily ignite cotton, dry grass, tinder, or well-prepared birch bark. Compared to cheaper models, the difference in spark quality is significant. The additional notched metal piece works surprisingly well, although if needed, you can also use the edge of a knife. The entire construction is lightweight, compact, and easy to slip into a pocket, fanny pack, backpack, or hang around your neck. The lanyard connecting the parts is strong and flexible. An extra feature is the built-in whistle—it won’t replace a professional signal device, but in an emergency, it produces a loud, clear sound. The red color is highly visible, which is useful if the fire starter falls on the ground or gets lost among your belongings. It’s a reliable source of fire, perfect for camping, hiking, EDC kits, or bushcraft. It works reliably, which is what I value most on my trips. Highly recommended!

The firestarter creates a lot of sparks and works great for starting a fire. I've used it several times already and it still looks like new. Solid fire starter, although the scraper could be better, but overall everything works as it should. It has a whistle and I managed to buy it on promotion, which is an additional plus. The color is nice, but if you lose it in the forest, it might be hard to find.
