The filter was purchased as a supplement to the set with a foldable bottle. It seems to me that this is the only option available on the market that allows you to add fast chemical filtration to standard filter sets. The equipment works properly and actually cooperates with other LifeStraw parts, except perhaps the Personal model. We used the filters for a week during a mountain trip, using water that had been standing for a long time. Was this type of filtration really necessary? It's hard to say, but we didn't have any stomach problems, so I assume it did its job well.
LifeStraw Add-On Carbon Water Filter

active carbon, ion exchange technology
Thanks to the applied solutions, it effectively eliminates heavy metals such as lead, mercury, chromium III, cadmium and copper. Additionally, it reduces chlorine content, unpleasant odors and organic substances, which translates into better water taste.

I use it as an additional accessory for the Peak Solo filter. Its size is perfect for taking it on a longer trip with an overnight stay under the open sky. For now, however, I keep it stored away just in case.

The activated carbon filter is an essential tool for purifying water outdoors, especially during prolonged lack of clean water, such as in emergencies. Chemical contaminants are often present in Polish surface water. The add-on can be attached to the filter or just to the PET bottle itself, especially when you can boil the water and the nano filter is unnecessary. I recommend this product and the Militaria.pl store.

This is one of the more interesting products from this company. The filter works independently; you just need to screw it onto a PET bottle with a standard thread. I think the carbon filter is more important than the microfilter during emergency water treatment. Biological contaminants can be eliminated by boiling or exposing the water to light, but you can't get rid of common chemicals found in Polish surface water this way. For longer storage, the filter should be stored in its original, tightly closed packaging.

Finally! It's like a Grayl version, but in a much smaller size. Great solution! I suggest buying extra filter cartridges right away as sometimes they might be unavailable for a longer period.

If someone has no issue with the expiration period after opening, I recommend this product – the taste of the water is really better. Simple to assemble and easy to transport – I definitely recommend it.
