Kel-Met Inox Chain Training Handcuffs

Training Handcuffs with Chain Kel-Met Inox are a specialized model designed for the training of uniformed officers and security personnel. With the use of a tang located next to the keyhole, they allow quick unlocking without the need for a key, enabling safe and efficient training in restraint, escort, and release techniques. Their design corresponds to standard operational handcuffs, allowing realistic simulation of tactical situations while minimizing the risk of injury and ensuring control over the course of exercises.

The product is made of stainless steel compliant with the PN-EN 10088-1 standard. The material used is non-toxic to the body, exhibits resistance to mechanical damage, and does not cause allergic reactions. The handcuffs are free from electroplated coatings, such as nickel or zinc, complying with the EU directive 76/769/EEC-94/27/EEC concerning products in contact with the skin and national regulatory designs.

The set consists of two hand cuffs connected by a curb chain, mounted with rotating clasps. The design of the cuffs reduces the risk of abrasions and injuries when used correctly. The restrained person can easily release themselves by pulling the unlocking tang.

The cuffs are made as steel constructions with a double-pawl mechanism and a movable cuff-ratchet. Each cuff is equipped with a ratchet lock that can be set in any position to prevent over-tightening. Protection against accidental opening is activated through the tang.

The handcuffs withstand the application of a static force:

• tearing with a value of 2300 N - force applied in the plane of the clasp, the other clasp fixed in a holder. After determining the force application, the handcuffs retain their usability properties.
• bending the clasp with a value of 500 N - clasp fixed in the holder from the side of the connecting chain, force applied perpendicularly to the plane of the clasp at its end opposite to its attachment in the holder. The force does not cause permanent deformation of the clasp.

Kel-Met handcuffs meet the following standards:

• PN-EN 10088-1 - a standard concerning the properties of stainless steels, specifying their chemical composition and mechanical features.
• 76/769/EEC-94/27/EEC - EU directive restricting the use of heavy metals like nickel in products contacting the skin. The handcuffs do not have electroplated coatings like nickel or zinc.
