Hultafors Stalberg Axe 0.85 kg

A carpenter's axe dedicated to woodworking. The blade is derived with a straight Scandinavian cut. There is a finger indentation in the head to make it easier to place the hand over the cutting edge during precision work. The model is named after Ernest Stalberg - one of the most experienced blacksmiths working in Hultafors in the first half of the 20th century.

The axe head is made of forged Swedish carbon steel processed using traditional methods from centuries ago. The metal is hammered up to 60 times during forging, increasing its density and strength.

The simple and symmetrical hatchet (handle) is made of hickory wood, which has been preserved with linseed oil.

It comes with a leather case to protect the blade.
