Great, lightweight jacket. The lack of lining means it’s not too warm, but it protects well from wind and light rain. Lots of pockets, solid workmanship. The only downside is that the front pockets are set high, which is great if you use a backpack with a hip belt, but in daily use you have to get used to it. I recommend it!

A lightweight and practical softshell jacket crafted from advanced StormStretch fabric, composed of 98% nylon and 2% elastane. This material stands out for its high resistance to abrasion and tearing, offering flexibility that ensures comfort and freedom of movement. It is also lightweight and provides effective protection against moderate rain, snow, and wind, making it ideal as an outer layer. The exterior of the jacket is treated with DuPont Teflon to guard against dirt and water.
The jacket includes seven pockets:
- two zippered chest pockets,
- two shoulder-height sleeve pockets,
- one pocket on the left sleeve above the wrist,
- one inner pocket secured with Velcro,
- a so-called poaching pocket located at the back under the lower back, with two independent entries from the right and left sides.
The shoulder pockets are equipped with soft Velcro for patch attachment.
The hood, stored in the collar, is roomy enough to fit over a head already covered by a cap. It features a soft visor to prevent water from running directly onto the face. The hood is attached to the collar in a manner that, when removed, does not expose the neck, protecting sensitive areas from the wind. A drawstring at the hem enhances the jacket's seal against the elements.
The sleeves are reinforced with durable material from the wrist to the elbow, while the cuffs have a Velcro-secured flap for adjusting size based on wrist thickness and to accommodate gloves or a watch. Ventilation zips are located under the arms of the jacket.

Very good jacket. Fits great, provides excellent protection from wind and rain. The material seems solid. Additional ventilation holes under the arms and plenty of pockets.

Nice, lightweight, and very thin jacket. This is not the typical softshell I used before. Perfect for spring, cooler summer nights, and autumn. The cut, pockets, and quality are standard Helikon. If you like this style, you will be satisfied.

I regret that Helikon stopped producing this model – although there is an MK2 version, in my opinion, it's not the same. This jacket looks much better than its successor. I wanted the Shadow grey version, but the green one also looks great. I'm 175 cm tall, weigh 75 kg, and wear size M – it's a bit loose, so I can easily fit a fleece or sweatshirt underneath, yet it's not tight. I really like the tactical look. The jacket protects well against wind, and to make it more water-resistant, I plan to use a water repellent. It's not excessively lightweight – the hood adds some weight. My only concern is with the sleeves, which could be a little longer – even though they fit well and tend to pull up when raising your arms.

The jacket stands out for its good quality and functionality. It's lightweight and durable. Unfortunately, it doesn't protect effectively against rain – even a few drops penetrate the material, causing discomfort on the shoulders. It's worth keeping in mind if you're looking for a typical rain jacket.

I've had this jacket since 2015 and it still works great, especially for mountain trips in the fall and early spring, but not only then. The only signs of wear are on the cuffs, where the Velcro has lost its color. It's perfect for light rain, and if you waterproof it properly, it can also handle heavier rain.

I don’t quite understand the purpose of this softshell – it doesn’t keep you warm, it doesn’t protect against rain for long, and the windproofness is average. Sure, it breathes, but with those shortcomings, does it matter?

This is a very good jacket, it protects well against the wind, and is easy to pack. Very comfortable—it does not restrict movement. Helikon’s products are of excellent quality, I buy them without hesitation and am always satisfied.

This is already my second Trooper (the first was gray, often used). Good workmanship. Pocket placement is a personal matter – with a larger chest, the pockets are a bit tight when filled. Size matches the chart, but the cut is a bit wider than the measurements suggest.

The Helikon Trooper Softshell Jacket is a very lightweight jacket for warmer months. The cut is similar to the Blizzard model, but it's a bit shorter. Dries quickly, protects well from wind, provides partial water protection.

Opinion after a year of use: Lightweight, comfortable jacket, often worn during transitional seasons and in winter in mild frost, both in the city and outdoors. Very good protection against wind, average for water resistance. It’s okay for light rain, but after that it gets soaked. On the positive side, it’s solidly made with no defects, has a roomy hood and lots of pockets. Minus – no mesh in the underarm vents and the price is quite high.

Light, breathable jacket. The color looks even better in person than in the picture. It doesn't have a membrane, so it's better suited for dry days, but the material breathes, and the many pockets make it easy to store your small items. I recommend both the jacket and the store.

Very good softshell, protects well against water, but after washing you definitely need to use an impregnant. I definitely recommend it.
-
Excellent softshell without membrane with a tailored fit. Highly recommend!

This is one of my many Helikon jackets, as always, very well made. I most often take it on trips in the spring and fall.
