This is better than I expected. I already have the Helikon M-65, but wanted something a little smarter for office and city use. It's lined, so not as light as I expected, and not really suitable for hot days. It has many pockets, probably more than you need, but that's a good thing. The fit is quite neat, but there's no waist drawstring. The material seems robust, similar to the Pilgrim jacket. It looks good, feels good and is cheaper than most similar jackets, so a good buy. I'm 180cm, 74kg and got the Medium. It has room to layer, but still looks good with just a shirt underneath.

The jacket is warm and comfortable, making it great for spring and autumn. However, it has a cut that makes it quite tight when you wear a thicker layer underneath, so I wouldn't recommend it for winter.

A very good jacket at an excellent price. At 185 cm tall and 96.5 kg, size L fits perfectly. Helikon performed exceptionally well — in terms of price, cut, colour, and material alike. To give some context, I am 1.76 m tall, weigh 87 kg, and have a chest size of 112 cm. I wanted a jacket for the mid-season. I chose size M (EU standard because I have a Helikon-Tex Woodsman Shirt in size L (EU) and had to shorten the sleeves by 3 cm; with size M, I no longer need to shorten the sleeves). With just a t-shirt, there's no problem. When I add a flannel shirt, the sleeves are slightly tight around the arms (maybe because the jacket is new). Then, over the shirt, I added a sleeveless fleece vest. I can close the jacket, but I feel it's tight. This jacket has a lot of pockets, which is great. However, I found the front lower pockets are not deep enough for me; they're missing about 2 cm in my opinion. Now, I just have to try it this autumn to confirm whether getting this jacket was a good choice.

Excellent for windy days and doesn’t lack anything it claims to have, but the lack of buttons for a liner feels like a big drawback compared to regular M65s. The storage for the hood is also much smaller than on a regular M65, so you might need to spend more time stuffing it right, but other than that it feels very nice to wear and isn’t overly heavy. The extra pockets are a nice added touch that can take the job of a small bag in terms of carrying capacity.

The main material of the jacket is of low quality. Damage (rubbing) is very noticeable visually even after 4 washes (washed according to the instructions). It is especially noticeable on the seams, or when the seams are on the inside. If you use the jacket for city wear, you will quickly be disappointed with its appearance. In contrast, the elastic material of the hood still looks like new.

Very good jacket – light and pleasant to the touch, fits great even directly over a T-shirt, and doesn’t stick to the skin. I was worried from the reviews that the size would be too big, but it turned out perfect – I’m 186 cm tall, weigh about 80 kg, size L. The sleeves are the perfect length. The hood is also a plus: flexible, just right – not too small, not too big, fits both on a bare head and over a patrol cap. The only downside is the lack of a drawstring at the waist, which others have already mentioned. The buttons are uncomfortable, but I don’t intend to use them. The side pockets are definitely more comfortable than in the classic M65 – placed closer to the front, making it comfortable to keep your hands in them (contrary to previous opinions). The "rear" pockets are also very practical – they’re right behind the side ones, easy to access, and perfect for keys or a pocketknife. The jacket is almost ideal for the autumn-spring season. I am very satisfied with the purchase.
