The Helikon-Tex M65 Covert in the Green Black version is an excellent choice for people who need an exceptionally durable yet discreet jacket for everyday wear. I have appreciated the classic M65 cut for years, which is why I really like the way the manufacturer has combined a timeless design with modern features. The DuraCanvas fabric impresses with its durability and performs well in demanding conditions, while the elastic panels on the back provide complete freedom of movement. The thoughtfully designed pocket system also deserves high praise, as it allows you to carry a great many items without the fabric bulging unattractively. The detachable pocket that functions as a waist pack, along with the zip that allows quick opening, is also very impressive. In person, the Green Black colour looks excellent and effectively softens the military character of the jacket in an urban setting. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who expects top quality, comfort, and long-lasting durability.

Review summary
Reviews show that the Helikon-Tex M65 Covert is a successful modern take on the classic M65. Buyers consistently praise its solid construction, durable materials, comfortable cut, and large number of practical, well-placed pockets, including the extra mini waist pouch. The jacket stands out for its discreet urban look, good wind protection, and strong comfort from spring to autumn, with light winter use possible when layered. The most common concerns relate to sizing and fit: sleeves can run long, and the cut may feel either too loose or too snug with thicker layers underneath, so many users recommend choosing the size based on how you plan to wear it. Some reviewers also note the lack of waist adjustment, limited ventilation, no removable liner, and the fact that it is not designed for severe cold or demanding outdoor expeditions. A few comments mention the price and, less often, fabric wear after washing, but the overall impression remains clearly positive.

This is better than I expected. I already have the Helikon M-65, but wanted something a little smarter for office and city use. It's lined, so not as light as I expected, and not really suitable for hot days. It has many pockets, probably more than you need, but that's a good thing. The fit is quite neat, but there's no waist drawstring. The material seems robust, similar to the Pilgrim jacket. It looks good, feels good and is cheaper than most similar jackets, so a good buy. I'm 180cm, 74kg and got the Medium. It has room to layer, but still looks good with just a shirt underneath.

I chose this jacket because it was on sale, and it turned out to be a very good choice. I got size L and it fits perfectly, even though at first I was worried it would be too loose. Size M would have turned out to be too tight instead. I am 179 cm tall and weigh 92 kg. The jacket works great in the fall, and on colder days a fleece fits underneath it without any problem.

This is a very successful jacket with a large number of pockets. It performs well in windy weather and is quite well fitted to the body. If someone prefers a looser fit, it is worth choosing a larger size. It has not yet been used in the rain, but waterproofing is planned. It looks stylish and is well suited for everyday wear.

Size: S
Great material quality, lots of practical pockets, and careful workmanship. The sizing is quite unusual — at 175 cm tall and around 80 kg, size S fits perfectly, while M turned out to be too wide. This jacket is ideal for spring and fall: it is breathable and does not feel heavy. Compared to the standard M65, it has a slimmer cut, which makes it a better fit for a lean build. In addition, its versatile style and ash grey color go well with both a fleece and a shirt.

In my opinion, this is quite a good option, although better ventilation would be useful, similar to that in the company’s other jackets, as well as drawcords at the waist and bottom hem. On the other hand, considering its different intended use, the gear works really well and doesn’t attract attention. It’s just a pity that the space for magazines is designed exclusively for 9 mm, because that is a limitation if you want to carry them on the side near the hook-and-loop pockets. A big plus is the waist pack hidden in the inner pocket, where you can safely keep documents and other items. I recommend the green-and-black version because it looks really great.

I bought it for the period from autumn to spring: for light hikes, dog walking, and as a general winter, city, and hiking jacket. I wouldn’t take it on demanding hikes because it’s a bit heavy, but it’s ideal for relaxed camping and tent trips. It’s warm enough and comes with plenty of practical pockets. It doesn’t have a removable lining, and the hood can be hidden in the collar. At 179 cm and 84 kg, I bought a size L, which is a little big, but the cuffs can be tightened, so at least I can layer up well underneath it in winter, and I don’t need to bring gloves for shorter walks. There are buttons everywhere instead of Velcro fasteners, which is why I think I’ll be wearing this piece of clothing for decades.

I bought it with the highest rating. It was mainly supposed to be for the woods, but it ultimately works well as an everyday jacket. It’s a great choice for people who value convenience and comfort in daily wear.

I still managed to buy it at a promotional price ;) :) The jacket has lots of pockets, is carefully sewn, and is made from high-quality materials. The Versa Strech inserts are a great solution — thanks to them, for example, the hood hidden in the collar is less bulky.

The jacket is warm and comfortable, making it great for spring and autumn. However, it has a cut that makes it quite tight when you wear a thicker layer underneath, so I wouldn't recommend it for winter.

A very good jacket at an excellent price. At 185 cm tall and 96.5 kg, size L fits perfectly. Helikon performed exceptionally well — in terms of price, cut, colour, and material alike. On top of that, it has plenty of pockets, and the quick-release system works flawlessly. I definitely recommend both the jacket itself and shopping at Military.

An excellent jacket — it has lots of practical, well-placed pockets and is very well designed, and the stretchy panels are a big plus. The sale price is impressive :) I recommend it.

To give some context, I am 1.76 m tall, weigh 87 kg, and have a chest size of 112 cm. I wanted a jacket for the mid-season. I chose size M (EU standard because I have a Helikon-Tex Woodsman Shirt in size L (EU) and had to shorten the sleeves by 3 cm; with size M, I no longer need to shorten the sleeves). With just a t-shirt, there's no problem. When I add a flannel shirt, the sleeves are slightly tight around the arms (maybe because the jacket is new). Then, over the shirt, I added a sleeveless fleece vest. I can close the jacket, but I feel it's tight. This jacket has a lot of pockets, which is great. However, I found the front lower pockets are not deep enough for me; they're missing about 2 cm in my opinion. Now, I just have to try it this autumn to confirm whether getting this jacket was a good choice.

I chose this jacket because it doesn't have Velcro, which wears out quickly with frequent use. The jacket is very spacious, has many functional pockets, and is comfortably cut. It is made of high-quality materials. I think it's a good purchase for this price.

Great product, both in terms of material quality and craftsmanship. I am 180 cm tall, have a chest circumference of 98 cm, and weigh 73 kg. Size S is perfect.
