I never thought I'd ever have to leave a negative review for this series... The new SFU Next Mk2 line – the sizes have been significantly reduced, so I purposely bought a larger size to match the old sizing chart. Now, what used to be XL is somewhere between 2XL and 3XL... It seems that Chinese sizing has won over traditional European sizing. That's only half of the problem, but what Helikon has done with the pants overall is a disaster. The legs are narrower than ever – these pants are only suitable for very slim people who are meticulous about every detail of their figure. If you’re 175 cm tall and weigh over 75 kg, and you go to the gym, forget about getting your calf through the pant leg, not to mention your thighs... The upper part of the pants – crotch, waist – everything is uncomfortable, too short, too shallow, just weird. I’ve been wearing these pants since they came out 15-20 years ago. Now I see that’s over. Time to go back to American products, which stick to one size standard and don’t get this quirky. Let me add that for the past 10 years, my weight and measurements have stayed the same, but the SFU Next Mk2 just don’t work for me anymore.

Modern version of the classic SFU Next military pants. Although the style is reminiscent of the previous version, it has been completely redesigned in terms of fit and ergonomics. The addition of elastane in the fabric ensures greater flexibility and freedom of movement. They effectively protect against both cold and heat, as well as mechanical injuries, while also helping to conceal the silhouette.
The combination of the Helikon SFU Next Mk2 Pants PolyCotton Ripstop wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland uniform pants and the Helikon SFU Next PolyCotton Ripstop wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland combat shirt creates a set with properties similar to the standard uniform of the Polish Army.
Reinforcements on the knees and buttocks, easy adjustment of the pants to the figure
SFU, often referred to as combat pants, provide high comfort and complete freedom of movement. Key areas prone to abrasion, such as the knees and buttocks, are reinforced with additional layers of fabric.
The design of the pants is free of metal elements, except for the waistband adjusters. The button closure, which also covers the opening, ensures reliability. Adjustable drawstrings allow the waist circumference to be adjusted without the need for a belt. Additional loop belt loops at the front allow equipment such as a tactical lanyard to be attached.
8 spacious pockets
The efficient design of eight pockets ensures the easy transport of essential small gear:
- two large cargo pockets with Velcro fastenings,
- two smaller compartments for additional gear, such as an extra magazine,
- two traditional hip pockets,
- two back pockets secured with flaps.
The contoured knee reinforcements are designed to accommodate internal protective inserts, enhancing the wearer's comfort and safety.

The pants fit perfectly, are comfortable and durable. The Rip-Stop fabric is resistant to heavy loads, and the many pockets prove to be exceptionally functional. The camouflage looks great outdoors. Definitely worth the price – I recommend them!

I chose size XL, as I always do when I buy SFU Next, but these turned out to be at least two sizes too small. It's not just hard to button them up—the button simply can't be fastened at all. I feel very disappointed. The quality seems similar to SFU Next, but I can't wear them. I'm returning them after the weekend.

Good quality, light and durable material. Comfortable and well thought out, although the pockets could be arranged a bit better. It's a cheaper model, which can be seen in the details (e.g., buttons instead of a zipper), but for this price, it looks very good. Unfortunately, Helikon sizing takes a bit of trial and error to get the right fit.

Classic-style cargo pants, they work great even with intense use. The material is breathable, so they're suitable for summer, and with an extra thermal layer, they'll keep you comfortable in winter, too. Solid workmanship.

Another very good pair of pants, but unfortunately the sizing is different from other Helikon models. The XL I recently bought was too big, and the L now is definitely too tight (185 cm, 98 kg). Product quality is excellent, but next time I guess I'll need to order several sizes to try on. Fortunately, Militaria.pl does a great job with returns :)

The store service is at the highest level. The sizing is consistent with the chart (I'm 184 cm tall and have an 87 cm waist, ordered L-L and it fits). The camouflage looks even better than in the pictures.
