ERDL Camouflage
The ERDL (Engineer Research and Development Laboratory) camouflage was created in 1948 by an American research laboratory. It became widely used during the 1960s in the Vietnam War, particularly by special forces and reconnaissance units. Later designs, such as the Woodland and M81, which are now globally recognized, were based on the ERDL. The green-brown camouflage pattern is effective in dense vegetation, European deciduous forests, thickets, and mixed woodlands.
