Modern tactical shorts, known as UTS (Urban Tactical Shorts), crafted from premium PoliCotton RipStop fabric (60% cotton, 37% polyester, 3% elastane), provide outstanding resistance to wear and tears. They are lighter than pure cotton fabrics and dry significantly faster. The strategically placed pockets make these shorts perfect for city life and outdoor activities.

A perfect combination of military and civilian clothing features — a subdued cut and the functionality of cargo pants. Innovative construction, carefully positioned seams, and the fabric used ensure outstanding freedom of movement and high durability.

10 spacious pockets

The shorts boast ten practical pockets:

  • a pair of traditional hip pockets with reinforced edges
  • four thigh pockets (two spacious with zippers and two slim secured with Velcro)
  • four back pockets (comprising two large and two slim positioned inside the larger ones)

Easy fit of the pants to the figure

Rather than a traditional button, a wide Velcro strap that can be adjusted by 6 cm is implemented. The waistband includes an elastic tape for a superior fit to the body. Extra loops on the lower section of the front belt loops enable the attachment of items like a carabiner.

    After many clothing purchases from Helikon, I decided to go for the shorts. I have both length variants: 8.5" and 11". Personally, I prefer the longer version because they end just below the knee. The material is light and breathable, making the shorts comfortable and almost unnoticeable. At the same time, the fabric is durable and the workmanship is meticulous, which ensures their longevity. The shorts have my favorite pocket layout, which I know from other models like the Hybrid Outback DuraCanvas. Additionally, the shorts are available in a wide range of colors, which is rare in other Helikon products. What more could you want? I highly recommend giving them a try!

    Great shorts (I have the 11" version), very comfortable, breathable, and sturdy. The Husar Range Belt 2.0 inner belt fits without any problem, so you can wear them at the shooting range :-D The shorts go slightly below the knee and have asymmetrical legs that provide extra knee protection. I definitely recommend them! A small suggestion – it's worth ordering a size smaller than what the size chart suggests.

    I ordered size S and I have to admit that although men's clothes (even in size S) are usually too big for me, Helikon usually has slightly smaller sizing, so I can wear S without the oversized effect. In this case, however, the S turned out to be even larger than in other brands, so it's worth being careful when choosing a size. Still, I highly recommend it, because the material is exceptionally durable and I probably won't need a new pair for a long time.
