I like the Flex series because it is more durable compared to ripstop. The fabric is less prone to damage and stains. When they are on sale, in my opinion, UTP Flex pants are the best choice both for everyday work and as work clothes for the garden.
Helikon-Tex UTP Flex Pants - PenCott WildWood
Modern tactical pants UTP (Urban Tactical Pants) are crafted from premium Nyco RipStop fabric (50% cotton, 50% nylon), offering outstanding resistance to wear and tear, while being lighter and drying more quickly than fabric made entirely of cotton. Featuring numerous pockets strategically placed, these pants excel in urban settings and perform exceptionally well for outdoor pursuits.
Combination of comfort and durability
A perfect blend of military and civilian apparel - offering a discreet fit and the functionality of tactical pants.
With an innovative design, precise seams, and high-quality fabric, these pants provide exceptional freedom of movement and durability.
12 practical pockets
The pants feature twelve pockets:
- two traditional hip pockets with reinforced edges,
- four thigh pockets (two wide with zippers and two narrow with Velcro),
- four rear pockets (two wide with Velcro and two narrow positioned internally),
- two inner groin pockets ideal for carrying a tactical flashlight or an extra magazine.
Additionally, there are interior knee-level pockets designed to accommodate protective inserts.
Precise fit
Rather than utilizing a button, the pants feature a broad Velcro, providing 6 cm of adjustment. The waistband includes an elastic band stitched in to enhance the fit according to various body shapes.
An extra layer of VersaStretch nylon fabric reinforces the material above the back pockets and in the crotch area.
Added loops at the bottom of the two front belt loops are incorporated for attaching items like a carabiner.

As with Helikon products, these pants are really excellent and reasonably priced. So far they have proven to be practically indestructible. They have lots of roomy pockets, and the zippers and overall durability are also big pluses. I’ve been using them daily in the field for almost a year, and there are no visible signs of wear, even after intensive rides. I definitely recommend them. The only downside is the lack of drawstrings, although there are openings, so you can add or insert them yourself. It’s also worth paying attention to the length, because they are a bit too long.

These are some of my favorite pants. They are very comfortable and well made, which is also confirmed by other positive reviews. They hold up well in the wash and are hard to damage. I definitely recommend them!

I bought it for my son so he would also have something sufficiently functional in black. This way, every little item has its place and can be carried on him. Comfortable, durable, and good value for money. For years we have worn almost only Helikon-Tex trousers, so there is no question what we choose.

I ordered the flex version to try it out (previously I used the rip-stop) and as always with this series of pants, I am satisfied – they are very comfortable and durable enough.
-
I own two pairs of these pants in olive color and I really regret that they are no longer available in the multicam version, because I am planning to switch to that type of camouflage. The pants work well both for everyday use in the city and for wearing in the field. They are comfortable, soft, and breathable.

These are my favorite pants for workouts and visits to the shooting range. They are extremely comfortable, don't cause chafing, and dry quickly. The only downside is the rather loud rustling of the fabric, which can sometimes be troublesome.

Length is good, fit is a bit tighter than expected, but still fits. Ordered together with the kneepads, which can be inserted without much trouble. Overall, a good impression; the stress test is yet to be performed. If any problems arise, the review will be updated.

This is one of the best styles of these pants – the material used is much more durable than standard ripstop. It gets less dirty, holds up better against abrasions and tears. In terms of functionality, these pants, like all from the UTP series, are excellent.

It's simply the best pair of pants I've bought on this site. It's very flexible, very sturdy, and very comfortable to wear. I think it has excellent value for money—actually, in my opinion, it's the best value for money on this site. I highly recommend it.

Great pants from a Polish manufacturer. An interesting concept, especially when it comes to the layout and execution of the pockets. There are plenty of compartments for rifle magazines, but also plenty of zippered pockets. YKK zipper – Helikon doesn't skimp on that. The pants fit well, more than the BDU model, but less than this brand's MBDU. They're also a bit shorter than the MBDU, though still the right length. I definitely recommend these pants!

I can wholeheartedly recommend these pants, especially at the current discounted price. The quality of workmanship is high; they are very well made. The number of belt loops is impressive, and some of them are double. They fit perfectly—they are neither too wide nor too narrow, definitely not skinny pants. The elastic inserts further increase wearing comfort. The cargo pockets are placed higher than usual, so when filled they won't swing from side to side, and their capacity allows you to fit a lot, even a B5-sized book (in case anyone is curious). The sizing in the chart matches reality. The only downside is that the material doesn’t breathe very well, but this should improve after a few washes.

Good cut, fits perfectly, very comfortable, higher pocket is pleasant, freedom of movement. It's a versatile and robust choice. Its tear resistance and water-repellent treatment make it ideal for outdoor use, while its comfort is reminiscent of sportswear. Although more expensive than the standard version, the increased flexibility more than justifies the investment for intensive use.

The pants are very well made, and the material is really high quality. Unfortunately, the biggest downside is the large Velcro instead of a button, which comes undone every time I use the restroom, and the zipper on the fly is too short. I think the Velcro should be on the side of the pants to allow for size adjustment. For these reasons, I’m giving only 3 stars instead of 5 – this is a serious drawback.

I do not like this pants. Although it is very comfortable and nice it has a movement noise like a plastic bag. It is not so bad, but it is not suitable for stealth.
