The SFU Next PolyCotton Rip-Stop model boasts a looser, wider cut, staying true to the traditional military style. Though the pant sizes align with the size chart, they are broader in the hips and legs compared to typical pants of this style. Pay close attention to the unique cut when selecting a size.

PolyCotton Rip-Stop, durable construction

The pants are crafted from PolyCotton Rip-Stop fabric, consisting of 60% cotton and 40% polyester. This fabric is extremely resistant to abrasion and tears, while still being lightweight and quick to dry. With a grammage of 215 g/m2, the pants offer durability without adding extra weight.

Areas especially susceptible to wear and tear, such as the knees and buttocks, are reinforced with an additional layer of fabric.

9 practical pockets

The SFU Next features nine functional pockets, designed to conveniently carry your equipment. They are strategically positioned for easy access and orderly storage.

  • Two spacious cargo pockets on the sides of the thighs fasten with Velcro and come with internal organizational straps.
  • Two back pockets offer storage for items needing extra security.
  • Two traditional hip pockets are ideal for carrying small accessories.
  • Two flat thigh pockets suited for smaller items.
  • One calf pocket, perfect for holding a personal bandage or other small items.

Additionally, the inside of the legs at the knee level contains special pockets for protective pads, enhancing the protection level for users involved in active pursuits.

No metal parts, waist adjustment

The SFU Next pants feature an opening designed exclusively with plastic buttons, completely eschewing metal components in their construction.

Featuring a waist adjustment system with drawstrings, these pants can be tailored to fit without the necessity of an extra belt. To enhance usability, sturdy handles in the form of D-rings are positioned under the front belt loops, providing the option to attach critical tactical gear like a carabiner, lanyard, or other items for swift access.

    The pants are generally very good, but they have one significant drawback: the buttons come off very easily. Not even a week had passed before the first one had already come off, even though the size was chosen with a little extra room. Even so, I’m giving 4 stars because sewing a button back on is not a big problem, and otherwise everything is fine.

If the length gets in the way, they can be shortened, although the ties at the bottom solve the issue. If you have a belly, they will be a bit tight at the waist, so you need to run a lot and lose weight ))) Otherwise, it’s a wonderful model, light and well-made.     I got the Helikon-Tex OTP pants (Mud Brown). The VersaStretch fabric is light, thin, and really stretches in all directions, and in the heat you don't sweat. The fabric repels water and dirt. The pockets are well designed, the cargo pockets with zippers don't stick out. I've been wearing them for the third month in shifts: the knees haven't stretched out, the seams are strong, and it's very comfortable to move. For summer, it's a top choice.

    The pants seem sturdy in terms of material quality and are also carefully sewn. Unfortunately, the sizing isn't perfect. I'm 186 cm tall and weigh 72 kg, and I chose size S Long – it fits well at the waist, but the legs are too wide, especially around the thighs where there's way too much material. Despite having a slim build, I can easily fit both legs into one pant leg at calf height (39 cm). I own many items from this brand and consider them very good, but for these pants, the sizing could use some more work.
