Great shirt in the typically high quality of the Helikon brand. If you prefer it to fit a bit more snugly, you should order one size smaller. I usually wear everything from the brand in size L, with a height of 1.90 m and a weight of 85 kilos. However, I had to order this shirt in size M and it fits very well.
The uniform sweatshirt is crafted from PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop fabric composed of 50% polyester, 48% cotton, and 2% elastane. This material boasts exceptional resistance to abrasion and tearing, and is also lighter and dries quicker than fabrics made entirely of cotton. The Raid model features a raglan design, where the sleeves are directly attached to the collar, eliminating shoulder seams.
The sweatshirt is secured with patch-covered buttons, offering practicality through 8 ergonomic pockets:
- two buttoned pockets on the chest,
- one pocket on each shoulder, secured with Velcro or a button,
- two flat open pockets located on the shoulder areas,
- and two internal mesh pockets, one with a zipper and one open.
The pockets include loops to attach equipment securely, preventing loss during activity. Special reinforcements at the elbows consist of a double material layer, which can also serve as pockets for protective foam inserts. Cuff widths can be adjusted with Velcro.
Velcro strips are sewn above the chest pockets and on the shoulder pockets and flaps, which allow for the attachment of various emblems, like national flags, unit badges, or Morale Patches, giving the sweatshirt a personalized touch.

Camouflage Woodland
Woodland, also referred to as U.S. Woodland or M81, is a traditional camouflage design introduced to the US Armed Forces in the early 1980s, drawing from the earlier ERDL pattern. It served as the primary camouflage for the US military for over twenty years until the end of the first decade of the 2000s. This pattern is marked by large, random patches in shades of green, brown, beige, and black, offering excellent camouflage and disorientation capabilities, particularly in forested environments. Its effectiveness and worldwide recognition have given rise to numerous variants that have been integrated into over 60 uniform systems globally. Additionally, the pattern significantly influenced popular culture, transitioning from military use to everyday fashion.
