Great backpack, perfect as carry-on luggage for practically any airline. Its advantage is its size, which fits airline requirements perfectly and the option to compress it while traveling. After arrival, you can expand it and use it for various trips, packing everything you need inside. Made from solid, durable material. At such a promotional price as currently for the blue color, it would be a shame not to buy it—for this money, you usually get thin nylon bags that break quickly.

While looking for a backpack for everyday use and urban rucking, I wanted sturdy materials, strong and well-finished stitching, and comfortable shoulder straps that distribute the weight well across the shoulders. Every day I carry a 15 kg cast-iron plate in it, along with my standard EDC and food for work. After a week of use, I can say that it does its job — it is comfortable, and in the clay/brown version it loses its military look, so it does not stand out and provides a good deal of discretion. It still has to be tested during woodland bivouacs, but I am sure that thanks to its capacity, additional external gear attachment points, and the MOLLE system, it will also handle those conditions well.

The backpack is very well thought out in terms of design. It can be considered a cheaper alternative to a competing brand starting with “W.” It is noticeably heavier than typical civilian backpacks, but you have to remember that it is made of CORDURA. It is a solid and durable material that really performs well. It is excellent for the woods thanks to the MOLLE system, which allows you to attach additional gear or dedicated organizers, thereby increasing the backpack’s capacity, for example with a Cargo Pouch pocket.

Excellent Backpack – Extremely Comfortable I’m extremely happy with the Helikon-Tex Raccoon Mk2 24L Backpack in Rhodesian Camo. It fits my back perfectly and is extremely comfortable, even when carrying it for longer periods. The multiple internal pockets make organising and storing my gear really easy, while the adjustable straps allow me to get a secure and comfortable fit. I also like that the straps can be safely secured so they don’t get in the way. The quality and design are excellent, and overall I couldn’t be happier with this rucksack. Highly recommended.

I definitely recommend it! I’ve been using this backpack almost every day for several years, and it still shows no major signs of wear. Everything is easy to access, and the compartment layout is well thought out. Additionally, I equipped my pack with an internal reinforced pocket. In my opinion, it is worth its price.

The backpack is comfortable, roomy, and thanks to the MOLLE system you can attach additional pouches to it. However, I do have some comments about the shoulder straps. Setting the correct strap length is difficult, and at the same time they very easily lose their adjustment. Sometimes they loosen on their own under weight, and tightening them again is not very convenient. Perhaps this is due to my being used to hiking backpacks, where this kind of adjustment system works much better.

The backpack seems quite sturdy and spacious despite being on the smaller side. You can somewhat comfortably make it into a Bug-Out-Bag, if your main objective is mobility and keep only the strictly necessary equipment. The MOLLE system is a plus, since you can further expand the capacity. All of the extra straps also allow you to mount things on the outside, so you can keep the more important things secured inside the many pockets this backpack offers.

Durable and comfortable material, solid construction. The backpack is sleek and at the same time very spacious. It has many compartments and a zippered pocket, so everything is well protected. It works great for day trips, but I’ve also used it for two-day trips and it was just as practical.

Excellent material quality, versatile usability. The internal division of the front compartment is great, well-structured with separated Velcro pockets. The molle compatibility is a plus, but in exchange, we have to give up additional side pockets, which leaves a bit of a sense of lack. The zipper is massive, the material quality is excellent - a robust, sturdy, and durable backpack. What I miss is the inability to securely fasten the cross straps on the shoulder straps when they are not in use.

I am very happy with the Helikon-Tex Raccoon Mk2 24 L backpack - Black. It is very well designed, comfortable and practical for everyday use. The quality is definitely there. The only thing missing, in my opinion, is a system to secure the straps underneath when you're not using them. They are meant to attach a mat or sleeping bag, but otherwise they hang down a bit, which is a shame. Aside from this detail, excellent backpack.
