For a year and a half, this fleece has been performing excellently. It has a slimmer fit than the previous version, so it fits quite closely to the body, but because of that it sits much better under a jacket. The additional pockets are practical. It is also very warm and durable.

The fleece is very comfortable and carefully made. The fabric is soft, pleasant against the skin, and provides good protection from the cold. It works great on colder days, both for walks and for various outdoor activities. Nothing feels tight or restricts movement. Its biggest advantages include solid workmanship and a functional cut.

The fleece has two layers, so it provides good warmth. Unfortunately, its cut is quite unusual, and it seems to run rather small. The back is nicely extended, but the front turns out to be too short, as do the sleeves. Around the torso there is theoretically still a bit of room in the material, and yet the sweatshirt feels too tight; the same goes for the sleeves. Other than that, it is very comfortable, has a roomy hood, and plenty of practical pockets, although they are rather shallow. Another downside is the plastic ends of the hood drawstrings, which can irritate the neck when the collar is fully zipped up. Even though, according to the size chart, the chosen size should have fit, the sweatshirt turned out to be too small. A big plus is the quick and hassle-free handling of the return by Militaria.pl. It is best to try on the Patriot mk2 model in person or choose a larger size right away.

This fleece is significantly different from the first version. The not very practical pocket on the forearm has been removed, but the rear pocket, which used to be useful, is also gone; instead, there are two hip pockets. Unfortunately, once the pockets are unzipped, you can feel the cold because their interior, like the underarm areas, is finished only with a thin mesh. The fleece is sturdy and very well cut, but clearly thinner than the original. It is worth considering buying a larger size.

The hoodie has a truly fitted cut; it follows the body closely both at the sides and overall in the armpit area. It does not restrict movement at all (I really appreciate the shoulder/sleeve cut that Helikon generally uses); on the contrary, excess fabric does not bunch up under the backpack straps when putting it on. Mobility is 100% even with a heavy backpack. The workmanship is decent. The material is warm and pleasant (I have not yet tested it on a longer hike, but I believe that with the ventilation openings it will definitely be okay). Since I struggled quite a bit with the size, I will share my information. I am 174 cm tall, weigh 75 kg, and I chose size EU-M (see photo). The size fits me great, the sleeves have just the right amount of extra room, and the only thing that is borderline for me is the width of the bottom hem of the hoodie—I would appreciate a few more cm of looseness there and would rather tighten it with the drawcords. As it is, the hoodie seals nicely on me, but when squatting, the bottom has to stretch slightly. For me, it was a good purchase. I cannot compare it with the Mk1 (I did not own it), but so far the Mk2 has definitely met my expectations.

For me, this is a great sweatshirt that looks excellent both in terms of material and cut, and it is also very comfortable to wear. It seems to be well made and like it could last quite a long time, which is very nice for the price.

A really great product! Especially suitable for transitional weather and as protection against the cold under a hard shell jacket (e.g. the Squall). First-class quality. However, this jacket is more suited to athletically built men. At 1.80 m and 95 kg, the jacket is too tight. An excellent alternative is the PATRIOT Mk1. It is also ideally suited to more heavily built people thanks to its loose fit.

The fleece is extremely comfortable and provides a lot of warmth, and the hood is carefully made. The numerous pockets help to conveniently organize things, although the drawback is the weak zippers. I hope this will be improved in the future, as it could really become problematic with everyday use.

For this price, it's hard to find a better fleece on the market. It's comfortable, lightweight, keeps you warm, and fits great on the body. It has plenty of functional pockets, and the vents prevent overheating during activity. Size L fits perfectly for someone who is 188 cm tall and weighs 70 kg – I recommend it.
