The Black Fleece hoodie offers exceptional thermal insulation, even in extremely cold conditions, while promoting efficient heat and moisture regulation. The integration of Hybrid Fleece, a dual-layer fabric with varied properties, provides superior thermal protection without adding extra weight.
340 g/m2 grammage, reinforced sleeves
The outer layer consists of thick fleece with a density of 340 g/m2, and the interior is outfitted with Grid Fleece mesh-structured fabric to boost comfort and promote airflow. Zippered vents are positioned under the arms for additional breathability. The cuffs incorporate elastic bands that conform to the wrists, enhancing the hoodie’s fit.
Zipper, extended cut, roomy hood
The sweatshirt is fastened with a two-way zipper. The back part is slightly elongated to protect the lower back from the wind. The cut provides unobstructed access to pockets and equipment carried on the waistband of the pants. The hood of the sweatshirt is spacious enough to wear over a head already protected by a cap. The soft visor protects the wearer from water dripping directly onto the face. The hood is sewn to the collar in such a way that the lining does not expose the neck. In this way, the wearer is protected from the wind in particularly sensitive areas. Soft Velcro panels have been sewn onto the shoulder pockets to allow the attachment of patches or emblems. Laser-cut panels with special grommets allow carrying additional accessories, such as tactical pens or small flashlights.

A nice and comfortable fleece jacket. It is pleasant to wear and keeps you nicely warm even at 3 degrees. Normally, at a height of 197 cm and 95 kg, I wear XL, but here, according to the size chart, I chose one size larger, which was the right decision. The hoodie has a truly fitted cut; it follows the body closely both at the sides and overall in the armpit area. It does not restrict movement at all (I really appreciate the shoulder/sleeve cut that Helikon generally uses); on the contrary, excess fabric does not bunch up under the backpack straps when putting it on. Mobility is 100% even with a heavy backpack. The workmanship is decent. The material is warm and pleasant (I have not yet tested it on a longer hike, but I believe that with the ventilation openings it will definitely be okay). Since I struggled quite a bit with the size, I will share my information. I am 174 cm tall, weigh 75 kg, and I chose size EU-M (see photo). The size fits me great, the sleeves have just the right amount of extra room, and the only thing that is borderline for me is the width of the bottom hem of the hoodie—I would appreciate a few more cm of looseness there and would rather tighten it with the drawcords. As it is, the hoodie seals nicely on me, but when squatting, the bottom has to stretch slightly. For me, it was a good purchase. I cannot compare it with the Mk1 (I did not own it), but so far the Mk2 has definitely met my expectations.

A really great product! Especially suitable for transitional weather and as protection against the cold under a hard shell jacket (e.g. the Squall). First-class quality. However, this jacket is more suited to athletically built men. At 1.80 m and 95 kg, the jacket is too tight. An excellent alternative is the PATRIOT Mk1. It is also ideally suited to more heavily built people thanks to its loose fit.

The fleece is extremely comfortable and provides a lot of warmth, and the hood is carefully made. The numerous pockets help to conveniently organize things, although the drawback is the weak zippers. I hope this will be improved in the future, as it could really become problematic with everyday use.

For this price, it's hard to find a better fleece on the market. It's comfortable, lightweight, keeps you warm, and fits great on the body. It has plenty of functional pockets, and the vents prevent overheating during activity. Size L fits perfectly for someone who is 188 cm tall and weighs 70 kg – I recommend it.

I really like this fleece I was originally going to get the mk1 but I wasn't so keen on the hood on that version and I much prefer the smaller hood on the mk2. At 188cm and 100kg the 3XL fits me well. If you're backpacking wearing this fleece is a good option as it is very breathable and there are zippers under the armpits for even more air flow. On cold days when I am doing a less intense activity such as walking the dog I pair this with a water proof jacket which is a very warm set up.

I recommend it, it's warm and fits nicely :) It works well on colder days, perfect for camping, hiking, and sitting at home. The only downside is the small hood, it's a bit too tight but it serves its purpose.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this fleece. It is lightweight, comfortable to wear, and provides warmth. The fleece is so comfortable that my fiancée also wanted to have one. A big plus is the visor sewn into the hood and the high collar.
