Very good pants with a universal purpose. Before purchasing, it is a good idea to try them on, as they have a rather tight (slim fit) cut. In this version of the MCDU made from DyNyCo fabric, the pants are much more stretchy and allow more freedom of movement than the model made from NyCo. On the other hand, the material seems to be less durable.
Helikon-Tex MCDU DyNyCo Rip-Stop Pants - Black
Black tactical pants crafted from high-quality DyNyCo Rip-Stop material, known for its excellent resistance to abrasions and tears, with added flexibility due to elastane. This model's design draws inspiration from the Polish airborne military uniform pants. An innovative fit combined with elastic inserts and the advanced fabric ensures outstanding freedom of movement and durability.
Rip-Stop fabric and elastic inserts
Main material DyNyCo (49% nylon, 48% cotton, and 3% elastane) is known for its durability and adaptability. The Rip-Stop weave ensures tear resistance. Inserts made of stretchable fabric VersaStretch with excellent breathability have been used on the waistband, back of the knees, and crotch, enhancing freedom of movement.
Ventilation openings and Cordura inserts
On the sides of the legs, there are ventilation openings with zippers, which allow excess heat to dissipate. The inclusion of mesh further safeguards against insects. Inside the legs at knee level, pockets are reinforced with highly durable 500D Cordura, enabling the insertion of internal protectors.
12 spacious pockets
These pants feature a total of 12 practical pockets
- including two inserted at the hips
- two positioned at the back
- two smaller ones located above the cargo pockets
- two large front cargo pockets equipped with zippers
- two sizable rear cargo pockets that close with Velcro
- two zippered pockets situated at calf level
Edges of the hip pockets are strengthened with an extra layer of material, enhancing durability when carrying a knife or multitool.
Waist adjustable with Velcro
The pants feature wide Velcro instead of a button, enabling waist adjustment and size fitting to accommodate individual body characteristics. The fly is secured with a zipper, and loops allow for a belt up to 40 mm wide.

VersaStretch is Helikon's proprietary fabric, characterized by high elasticity and lightness. The composition used is responsible for quick drying of the fabric and proper breathability.
The velcro panel is an area with sewn-on Velcro tape that allows easy attachment of various additional items, such as patches or pockets.
Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.
YKK zippers are high-quality zippers commonly used in clothing and accessories, manufactured by the Japanese YKK Corporation - one of the world's largest zipper manufacturers.
Rip-Stop weave protects the fabric from abrasions and tears. It is characterized by additional threads woven in at regular intervals, forming a mesh-like pattern. It provides high strength to the fabric, increases resistance to mechanical damage, especially tears.

Size: L Long
Very comfortable pants with a great fit (I got size L-Long; I’m 1.87 m tall and weigh 85 kg). Plenty of practical, well-placed pockets. Lots of adjustment options. The Pencott camouflage is excellent in my region (Brittany, France) in spring and summer. Excellent service quality from Military. Fully satisfied.

Size: M
Very comfortable, high-quality pants. I would highlight the variety of pockets and the roominess of some of them, which are also strategically placed so they do not get in the way when sitting down or adopting other positions. Very visually appealing.

Size: S
After previously having the camouflage-pattern variant (Helikon-Tex - MCDU NyCo Rip-Stop trousers - wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland), I decided on the MCDU DyNyCo Rip-Stop trousers in RAL 7013. The trousers fit just as well and continue to impress with their well-thought-out features and practical pockets. The material is probably somewhat different from the previous version (DyNyCo instead of NyCo), but it still gives a high-quality and robust impression. I particularly like the RAL 7013 colour because it is understated and can be worn unobtrusively both in the woods and in the city.

I'm very happy with these pants. They are comfortable to wear, allow excellent freedom of movement, and the pockets are well designed, placed exactly where they should be, with plenty of storage. My only minor complaint is that they are slightly too long because the S Short size wasn't available. However, this doesn't really affect usability since the cuffs and the area below the knees can be tightened, so the fit is still great overall. I would definitely recommend them for this price.

Very comfortable — it doesn’t restrict your freedom of movement, the fabric is breathable, and the pockets are practical. It allows for unrestricted movement even when you’re sweating, as the fabric doesn’t stick to your body in a way that hinders mobility. The fit is excellent, and the combination of materials is outstanding. Highly recommended!

The pants are very comfortable, even when I’m sweating. They have ventilation openings on the sides, which work really well, and allow my legs to move freely. Highly recommended!

The trousers are very comfortable, breathable, and do not restrict movement, even during intensive work after heavy sweating. The front side pockets are well positioned and easy to access, even while sitting in a car. The price on this website was the best I found in Europe, especially considering the shipping options to other EU countries. I highly recommend this product.

Nice, very functional, and pleasant to the touch pants. I like the velcro adjustment at the waist and on the legs, the fastener hasn’t worn out, good quality. The quality is, as always, good with Helikon.

I’ve used them long enough to write an honest review (78kg 184cm). Despite the name, these are tactical sweatpants, not something you’d wear in a combat environment – and there’s nothing wrong with that! I bought the pants to be used for high-speed trekking, and they suit well for this purpose as long as you have a beaten path or a trail to follow. For my offroad/through the bush activities I stick to the more expensive brands and tougher materials. The best parts of the pants are the ventilation paired with the lightweight fabric making it comfortable to move at a high speed in hot weather. The stitching is well made and the fabric and zipper is of good quality. 12 pockets are overkill. They are quite narrow and the way they’re built, some overlapping, you can’t use them fully. If you stuff them all you’ll look like the Michelin man. Be mindful and pack intelligent. I prefer fewer and bigger pockets, but it suits the high-speed design. Lastly, I haven’t bought a pair of Helikon pants in a while and went with M-L as I used to but these are a bit longer than before(?) The legs are a couple of cm too long for sneakers but quite good for boots, so they don’t pull up when kneeling. Overall, a good product but I wouldn’t buy them at full price.

The tactical pants are made of high-quality material. They are sturdy and well sewn. Everything is precisely designed. Size L 34/32 fits perfectly for a height of 184 cm and a weight of 90 kg.
-
The pants are well made, have a practical cut, well-thought-out details and functionality. They fit the body very well and, compared to other Helikon models, are not as roomy. The size fits, although personally I missed the M-short version, as it would have been ideal for me. This is another pair in my collection. Rating 5/5.

The pants work great during ASG games and I honestly recommend them for that use. As for standing activities – I have no complaints. However, when sitting for a longer time, e.g. while fishing, the material quickly gets damp and it's necessary to change underwear.

Helikon MCDU DyNyCo Rip-Stop Pants - Black have their advantages, but even the L Short size turns out to be too long. Every pair of Helikons I buy, I have to immediately take to a tailor.
