Haasta Headscarf - UCP

The universal scarf in UCP camouflage is crafted in the shape of a seamless tube, utilizing a breathable and stretchy polyester fiber blend. It provides excellent coverage for the head and neck, offering protection against wind, dust, sun, cold, and moisture during intense activities.

A seamless design further boosts wearing comfort and minimizes the possibility of chafing or irritation.

Camouflage UCP

UCP (Universal Camouflage Pattern) is a digital camouflage pattern introduced at the beginning of the 21st century as a successor to US Woodland and Desert. It combines camouflage functions in various environments - forest, desert and urban - which is why shades of green and beige are combined with gray. The spot arrangement is based on the MARPAT pattern, and the pastel, low-contrast colors create a pixelated micro-pattern that blends well into the environment at short distances but merges into a uniform silhouette at greater distances. UCP showed high effectiveness in infrared, which contributed to its introduction, but it was eventually replaced by OCP camouflage based on the MultiCam pattern.

    Here we basically have a cool neck gaiter with a good fit that is relatively breathable. As a result, protective glasses fog up a little less. However, it’s a real shame that the inside is not dyed through. Because of that, the light-colored inside is naturally noticeable when it folds over slightly.

    Haasta, as usual, offers very good quality. It does not lose its shape, the material fits well, and it is breathable. However, I am taking off one star for the color scheme — both the outer and inner sides used to be colored, and now the middle part is light gray. For me, this is a problem because when the haasta rolls up at the end, a different camouflage becomes visible, which is quite a big drawback. Other than that, everything is fine.

    The scarf looks very good thanks to its interesting, Spartan pattern. However, the quality of workmanship could be slightly better, especially when it comes to finishing details. But for this price, you can overlook small flaws. In winter and summer, the scarf works perfectly.

    The material is definitely too loose, so it doesn’t fit the face. I have a similar product from another company that’s almost 4 cm narrower and holds better. It works as protection for your head against the sun, but it’s too wide to protect your mouth and nose from the cold or wind :(

    The scarf does its job and has an affordable price, but a downside is that the camouflage pattern is only on the outside, while the inside is just plain white material. This white side often turns out and becomes visible. I think this is an unnecessary cost-saving measure by the manufacturer, which isn’t shown in the photos and can be misleading.

    For me, this was a carefully considered purchase that I had planned for a long time. After using the UCP version of the scarf for a while, I decided it was worth choosing those from Haasta, because they are perfectly made, especially the ones with Polish camouflage. I have several clothes in the desert wz.93 pattern, so I had to have this scarf to match. I rate the quality very highly, and the colors are rendered perfectly.     There are few neck warmers or scarves in wz.93 camouflage on the market that reproduce the colors so well. Haasta offers them in great quality. Before buying this version, I used another one (UCP) for a long time, so I decided to get another. The scarf doesn't fade or stretch much after many washings. The price matches the quality, and the material works both in winter and summer. Truly an excellent scarf!
