R-Value thermal insulation coefficient
The Trekking NG model features a thermal insulation coefficient of R-Value 2.2, determined according to the ASTM F3340-18 standard. This parameter defines the degree of insulation from the ground—the higher the value, the more effective the heat loss reduction.
R-Value interpretation used in the outdoor industry:
- 1.0-2.0 - suitable for summer conditions (night temperatures above approx. 10 deg. C),
- 2.1-3.5 - suitable for spring-summer-autumn (approx. 0-10 deg. C),
- 3.6-5.0 - suitable for cold conditions, around 0 deg. C and negative temperatures down to approx. -5/-10 deg. C,
- 5.1-7.0 - suitable for winter use, temperatures below 0 deg. C,
- above 7.0 - winter conditions with increased insulation requirements.
Actual thermal comfort depends on the sleeping system (sleeping bag, clothing), type of ground, and the user's individual resistance to cold.

The 2 cm thick mat provides high comfort and efficient insulation from uneven and cold ground. The outer layer made of polyester material with TPU coating is characterized by good resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. The interior contains self-expanding foam that automatically draws in air, giving the mat appropriate rigidity when the valve is unscrewed. Changing the design to a round perforation reduces weight and volume when packed without losing insulating properties.
easy inflation and folding
Laying out the mat involves unscrewing the cap, allowing the foam to automatically expand and fill with air. If needed, it is recommended to inflate the mat 1-2 times by mouth and close the valve to achieve the desired firmness. During rolling, the air escapes by itself, facilitating compression and reducing luggage volume.
After folding, the mat measures 51 x 10 cm. The package also includes a repair kit.
