Temperatures and usage conditions
Svalbard sleeping bag temperatures according to EN 13537 standard:
- T-comfort: 2 C – the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably through the night,
- T-limit: -3 C – the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep without discomfort,
- T-extreme: -20 C – the lowest temperature where survival is possible. Not recommended for regular use.
10D Rip-Stop nylon with Water Repellent coating
Lightweight 10D Rip-Stop nylon featuring a WR (Water Repellent) coating is utilized both inside and out. This treated fabric minimizes moisture absorption. Inside, there is a small pocket for essentials and loops designed for attaching an additional thermal liner.
Duck down filling, H-shaped construction
Thermal insulation and optimal air flow are ensured by European duck down and feathers in a 92/8 ratio. With a loft of 800 cuin, the down compacts efficiently for easy packing. The DuPont hydrophobic treatment reduces moisture uptake. H-shaped baffles keep the down from shifting. The drawcord footbox features an extra layer of insulation for enhanced warmth around the feet.
Right zipper, Anti-Bite system
This model includes a two-way zipper on the right side for complete opening and easy access. A fluorescent puller enhances zipper usability in low-light conditions. The Anti-Bite system ensures the fabric doesn't snag in the zipper. Inside, a thermal baffle is sewn in for additional insulation.
Integrated hood for warmth, DUO drawcord
The three-dimensional hood enhances head insulation and provides protection against wind and moisture. The Duo system features a combination of elastic and strap – the elastic around the neck permits hand movement without needing adjustments, while the back strap enables quick tightening during nighttime use.
Easy transport and storage
With a compact packed size of 26 x 17 cm and a lightweight design of 655 g, the sleeping bag is easy to carry in a backpack without adding much bulk.
