Hike Waterproofs consist of two layers and a breathable membrane between them. Thanks to the 3-layer construction, they are waterproof - feet stay dry even in moisture-permeable shoes. Soft, non-pressing elastic keep them in place and increase comfort. The socks will retain their functional characteristics even after repeated washing.

They work quite well, but after 6 hours of walking in the rain and wearing light shoes, they started to let water in. They deal with wet grass similarly to other membrane products – they soak through quickly. Still, I would recommend them as an emergency solution for tougher conditions.

Everything depends on the purpose – for running they don't work that well, because feet sweat a lot, even though I used them in snow and cold. On the plus side: they keep you very warm, I can't imagine my feet getting cold in them. They also worked well on the bike in subzero temperatures, the comfort was satisfactory. Ultimately, I recommend them because at this price it's hard to find something that warms so well and is completely waterproof. I think they'll also work for trekking at -20 degrees.
