I bought the sleeping bag for my daughter for a tent camp because the previous one was not warm enough. In this respect, the Fjord worked even too well, but that's not a problem – it's easier to unzip the sleeping bag than to sleep in several layers. The quality of workmanship is very good. When folded, the sleeping bag takes up a lot of space, so it's not suitable for hiking, but it's perfect for stationary camping.
Fjord Nansen Hamar XL 1588 g Sleeping Bag Sapphire - right
A durable sleeping bag in a Sapphire hue, designed in a mummy shape, offering a snug fit and the freedom to move while sleeping. Constructed from premium Rip-Stop polyester, it boasts a robust outer shell and Eko Loft Hollowfiber insulation.

210T Rip-Stop polyester, polycotton lining
The exterior crafted from 210T Rip-Stop polyester safeguards against mechanical wear and minimizes the chance of additional tearing. The interior lining made with PoliCotton merges the soft texture of cotton with the robustness of polyester, ensuring excellent breathability and comfort against the skin. The bottom part of the sleeping bag is contoured to match the foot's natural alignment, decreasing vacant space and enhancing thermal retention. Inside, a small pocket is available for tiny items, along with loops for securing an extra thermal liner.
Eko Loft Hollowfiber filling
Thermal insulation comes courtesy of the Eko Loft Hollowfiber filling, crafted from spiral-twisted, siliconized polyester fibers. The quilting of the outer layers stops the filling from shifting, ensuring an even spread. Even when wet, washed, or heavily used, the material maintains its thermal properties. The filling is non-allergenic, making it ideal for individuals allergic to down.
Right-side zipper, Anti-Bite system
The sleeping bag is equipped with a two-way zipper on the right side, allowing full opening from the top or bottom, making entry and exit easy. The Anti-Bite system prevents fabric from catching in the zipper. On the inside, the zipper is covered with a thermal baffle. The model can be connected to another sleeping bag from the same series.
Integrated hood with DUO drawcord
The 3D-structured hood efficiently shields the head from cold, wind, and moisture, enhancing thermal insulation. The DUO drawcord, which integrates elastic and tape, permits limited hand movement without requiring adjustment and enables easy loosening of the hood at a chosen spot—particularly beneficial at night.
Convenient transport and storage
With a packed size of 45 x 26 cm and a weight of 1600 g, the sleeping bag is conveniently portable, making it easy to transport and store without adding extra weight to your gear.
Set components
The sleeping bag includes a practical cover, offering protection during transport and shielding it from dirt and damage.

PoliCotton fabric is a blend of polyester and cotton fibers featuring the best qualities of both yarns. Polyester provides strength and flexibility, while cotton provides softness and breathability.
Rip-Stop weave protects the fabric from abrasions and tears. It is characterized by additional threads woven in at regular intervals, forming a mesh-like pattern. It provides high strength to the fabric, increases resistance to mechanical damage, especially tears.
Anti-Bite is a system that prevents material from getting jammed in the zipper, used in outdoor clothing and equipment. It prevents the fabric from blocking the zipper, which increases the durability of the product and improves the comfort of use, especially in outdoor conditions.
Eko Loft Hollowfiber is a synthetic insulation material used in sleeping bags. It consists of spirally twisted, siliconized polyester fibers of various diameters, which form a system of microchannels filled with air. Thanks to this structure, the filling is warm, resilient and easy to compress. It retains its insulating properties even in a humid environment – it does not absorb moisture, and at the same time allows the removal of water vapor produced by the body. This material provides thermal comfort at low temperatures and is also anti-allergenic.
DUO drawstring in Fjord Nansen sleeping bags is a two-zone adjustment system, which allows you to adjust the hood independently with an elastic band in front and a tape with a lock in the back. This solution makes it easy to quickly adjust the sleeping bag to your body position and personal preferences, without having to leave the interior.

During an overnight stay in the mountains with temperatures close to zero, using a tent (also Fjord), I had to unzip my sleeping bag several times at night because it was very warm. Ideal for trips during such mild winters. I recommend both the sleeping bag and other Fiord Nansen products.
