I have mixed feelings about this sleeping bag. I used it in summer and fall, and today at -3°C it was not comfortable, perhaps because during sleep in a hammock the last top buckle broke off and I couldn't fasten it properly. At this price, I expected a better product. I wouldn't buy it again, unless it was available for a maximum of 600 PLN. Soon I will send it back under warranty.

The Arran Quilt sleeping bag is rated for various temperatures based on the EN 13537 standard:
- T-comfort: -1 C – This is the lowest temperature in which a woman can comfortably sleep through the night,
- T-limit: -6 C – The minimum temperature where a man can sleep without discomfort,
- T-extreme: -22 C – This is the lowest temperature where survival in the bag is possible. Not advised for regular usage.
Nylon construction reinforced with ripstop
The Arran model is crafted from resilient 10D nylon with Rip-Stop technology, enhancing its resistance to mechanical wear. The fabric features a WR (Water Repellent) hydrophobic coating to guard against moisture.
Filled with hydrophobic duck down
The Arran Quilt is a top quilt, meaning it does not have a hood or lower insulation. This design prevents compression of the insulation, boosting its effectiveness. The down is strategically placed on the front and sides for enhanced protection against the cold. The filling features a 92/8 blend of duck down and feathers, offering excellent thermal insulation and breathability. DuPont impregnation ensures the down absorbs moisture at a slower rate and dries more quickly. With a fill power of 800 cuin, it packs down compactly. Extra foot area insulation enhances thermal comfort, while H-shaped baffles prevent down from shifting, ensuring consistent insulation.
Central zipper, Anti-Bite system
The bag is equipped with a central zipper that allows for complete opening, featuring an Anti-Bite system to prevent snags. A fluorescent puller facilitates easier use in low-light conditions. The top drawcord ensures a snug fit and enhanced protection against the cold. With mounting loops, a liner can be securely attached, preventing it from slipping when exiting the sleeping bag.
Footbox with drawcord, straps with buckles
The footbox is equipped with a drawcord for easy adjustments and enhanced airflow. The lower section, or footbed, can be flattened, making it versatile for use as a lightweight quilt. The topquilt works perfectly – I use it in temperatures from 10°C to (so far) -1°C. At times I had to take off some clothes because it was very warm. It works well with a sleeping pad thanks to the included straps. I sincerely recommend it. I use it in a hammock, tent, and on the ground.

The quilt really has a lot of loft. After expanding, it almost completely filled a 65-liter mesh bag. You can pack it into the original cover, but due to the thin material, I don't expect it to be very durable. I have only slept with it in the summer, but the thickness is comparable to sleeping bags I know with a comfort temperature of 0°C. The quality is adequate for the price. For now, I recommend it.
