Fire Maple FMS-X1 Travel Stove with pot - Gradient

I got the FMS-X1 for trips because I wanted water to boil quickly and without having to "dance" with the wind. In practice, the system is really convenient: you set it up, light it, and in a few minutes you have boiling water for coffee or freeze-dried food. The pot is fine in terms of volume, the lid sits tightly, everything packs up compactly without rattling in the backpack. Minor downsides: the construction is taller than a regular burner with a pot, so on uneven ground you need to place it carefully so it doesn’t wobble. And the gradient coating looks great when new, but usage marks appear quickly if you don’t take care. Overall, the system really saves time and nerves, especially when it's windy outside.

It's a pity that there was no option to choose a different color, but in terms of functionality the stove is excellent. The wind shield provides effective protection, which was missing from cheaper portable stove models. It proved itself during autumn trips in the Scottish mountains.
