MultiCam camouflage
MultiCam is a modern camouflage pattern created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) under the Objective Force Warrior program. It aimed to develop a universal camouflage pattern effective in diverse terrains and changing environmental conditions.
The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colors forming gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows it to dynamically adapt to its surroundings, adopting green hues in forests or brown and beige in desert areas. In Central and Eastern Europe, it performs particularly well in the autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained recognition worldwide and is used by various military forces and special units. In 2010, the camouflage officially replaced the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP) as the pattern for the U.S. military stationed in Afghanistan. This pattern is also available to civilian users, making it a popular choice among military enthusiasts and airsoft players.
