Delta Optical Genetic Pro Mono Microscope

Biological microscope with a monocular head designed for learning, use in educational labs, and bright-field biological observation. It is suitable for schools, universities, laboratories, and home workspaces for people developing an interest in microscopy. The magnification range from 40x to 1000x, achromatic optical system, and precise operating mechanism allow observation of fresh and permanent biological specimens.

The upright design combines a stable stand with a mechanical stage for 2 slides, LED lighting, and coaxial focus knobs. The applied solutions make it easy to move smoothly from general sample observation to analysis of its finer structures at higher magnifications.

The 4-position objective turret is equipped with achromatic objectives with magnifications of 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x OIL. Combined with the 10x eyepiece, they provide the following total magnifications:

• 40x - for locating the sample and observing larger structures
• 100x - for viewing selected areas of the specimen
• 400x - for working with smaller biological structures
• 1000x - using the 100x OIL immersion objective

The turret allows for quick objective changes without needing to remove the specimen from the stage. This makes step-by-step observation easier: starting with the lowest magnification, setting the area of interest, and then switching to a higher-power objective.

The microscope is equipped with a monocular head with a tube inclined at an angle of 30 degrees. This eyepiece position reduces the need to lean heavily during observation and makes it easier to sit comfortably at the workstation.

The WF 10x eyepiece used provides a field of view with a diameter of 18 mm. The wide field of view makes it easier to find the area of interest on the specimen, especially at lower magnifications, and also allows more efficient review of the sample structure before moving on to more detailed observation.

The stage measuring 142 x 132 mm allows placement of 2 slides. The holder stabilizes the glass slides, and the movement mechanism allows precise movement of the specimen along the X and Y axes. The travel range is 75 x 40 mm, which makes systematic scanning of a larger sample area easier.

The mechanism is equipped with a vernier scale, which makes it easier to determine and remember the position of a selected point on the specimen. This solution is useful when returning to an area of interest, comparing sample elements, or documenting observation results.

Coaxial micro and macro focus knobs are located on both sides of the body. Coarse adjustment enables quick initial focus setting, especially when working with 4x and 10x objectives. The fine adjustment knob allows the image to be refined precisely at higher magnifications.

The minimum micro movement increment is 4 µm, allowing small corrections of the stage position relative to the objective. The double-sided arrangement of the knobs allows the microscope to be operated comfortably with the right or left hand.

The microscope uses bright-field technique and transmitted illumination. LED light is directed from below through the specimen and then enters the optical system. This method is used for observing thin, properly prepared biological samples, including plant and animal specimens.

LED lighting provides stable light and long service life. It does not heat specimens to the same extent as traditional incandescent sources, which makes longer observations easier. The microscope is powered by DC 5 V / 0.5 A.

An Abbe N.A. 1.25 condenser is located under the stage, and its task is to focus light on the observed specimen. It works with an iris diaphragm, allowing the amount of light passing through the sample to be adjusted. This makes it possible to match image brightness and contrast to the type of specimen and the selected objective.

The condenser can be height-adjusted, allowing lighting conditions to be refined during observation. The optical design uses 160 mm correction, consistent with the standard used in biological microscopes of this type.
