The glass optics feature three achromatic objectives, providing a magnification range from 40x to 400x. Magnification can reach up to 640x with the optional P16x eyepiece (not included). The BioLight 100 facilitates the observation of a wide range of specimens, such as cells, plant and animal tissues, protozoa, or plankton present in water samples. An aperture wheel beneath the stage enhances contrast and clarifies the image.
