When I ran out of Medclot dressings, I reached for these – both work just as well. Such products definitely should be in every first aid kit, as they can save health or even life.
A multi-layered tactical dressing designed for quickly stopping hemorrhages. This dressing mixes a hemostatic agent with a carrier like gauze. The technology used ensures that the smaller dressing size does not compromise its ability to stop bleeding. Celox dressings minimize blood loss from injured blood vessels.
It is designed to manage life-threatening bleeding of moderate to high severity, preventing blood loss from damaged vessels, including arteries. The dressing is meant for use when traditional methods of halting bleeding (such as direct compression) are ineffective or when the bleeding site is inaccessible.
The hemostatic gauze arranged in "Z" formation and coated with Celox hemostatic preparation enables straightforward and accurate application. The design of the carrier material allows a reduction in dressing volume while retaining effectiveness in hemorrhage management. The shorter layered gauze eases application and shortens application time. The easily storable, camouflage-colored package contains one 150 cm long strip of gauze arranged in layers.
Specification:
The unique substance in these dressings - chitosan - induces hemostasis by sealing bleeding sites, forming a quick clot upon contact with blood (around 3 minutes after application), which remains intact even when the wound is rinsed with saline.
Cheitosan. Chitosan is effective on blood under hypothermic conditions and also on heparinized blood.
CELOX dressings offer a bactericidal effect, shielding the wound from infection. They are also safe, as they do not provoke an exothermic reaction nor do they stick to the wound.
For proper and safe use of the dressing, prior training is required!

This gas is popular and valued among both civilian and military users. I hope it expires, because I'd rather never have to test it in practice.
