Carinthia XP TOP Summer Large Sleeping Bag - Black
A summer black sleeping bag designed for overnight stays in warmer conditions. The G-Loft insulation with a grammage of 135 g/m2 provides basic thermal insulation while maintaining a low weight and compact packed size.
The model was developed as a standalone sleeping bag for summer, as well as part of a modular system. It can serve as an outer shell compatible with all Carinthia sleeping bags, increasing protection against wind and moisture while expanding the application range of the entire set.
Temperatures and conditions of use
Operating temperatures of the XP TOP Summer sleeping bag specified in accordance with EN 13537:
- T-comfort: 5.8 degrees Celsius. - the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably through the night,
- T-limit: 0.9 degrees Celsius. - the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep through the night without discomfort.
Shellproof outer material and Shelltex Ultra lining
The outer layer is made of durable Shellproof material, which protects against wind and light moisture. The fabric has hydrophobic properties, which reduces the absorption of moisture from dew or humid air. The inside of the sleeping bag is finished with a lightweight and soft Shelltex Ultra lining. The material is made of 100% polyamide.
synthetic G-LOFT insulation
Thermal insulation is provided by synthetic G-Loft insulation with a grammage of 135 g/m2. The filling made of 100% polyester creates a lightweight layer that traps warmed air and reduces heat loss during overnight stays. The insulation retains its properties in conditions of elevated humidity.
Thermoflect system - warmth and comfort
The model uses a Thermoflect layer that helps retain warmth inside the sleeping bag. It reduces heat loss and helps maintain a higher temperature. Combined with G-Loft insulation and a two-layer construction, it increases insulation efficiency during overnight stays in cool conditions.

XP TOP Summer can function as a standalone summer sleeping bag or as an outer shell for any Carinthia sleeping bag.
Use as an outer layer allows you to:
- increase protection against wind
- reduce contact with humid air
- improve insulation of the entire set
- protect the main sleeping bag from dirt and moisture
The modular construction allows the sleeping system to be adapted to current conditions. On warmer nights, the model can be used on its own, and in cooler surroundings it can supplement the main sleeping bag as an additional outer layer.
Two-way zipper and central fastening
The sleeping bag is equipped with a centrally positioned two-way zipper. The slider can be opened from the top and bottom, allowing ventilation to be adjusted and the opening range to be matched to thermal conditions. Along the zipper there is a protective flap, which limits the penetration of cold air through the closure and improves the continuity of thermal insulation.
The anti-snag tape helps prevent the material from being pulled into the slider during zipping and unzipping. It makes the zipper operate smoothly, which is especially important in limited visibility or in the confined space of a tent.
Adjustable face opening
An adjustable face opening is placed in the upper part of the sleeping bag. It makes it possible to adjust the degree of head and face coverage to current weather conditions.
The adjustment allows cold air inflow to be reduced during sleep and ventilation to be increased when the ambient temperature is higher. The opening can be adjusted with a drawstring.
compression sack included
The set includes a compression sack, which allows the volume of the sleeping bag to be reduced during transport. When packed, the model takes up little space, so it can be conveniently stored in a backpack, travel bag, or vehicle.
The single-layer construction makes it easier to carry. The sleeping bag weighs 1200 g, and when compressed its size is approximately 18 x 26 cm.
