Carinthia PRG 2.0 Jacket - MultiCam

Windproof jacket in MultiCam camouflage made from lightweight and durable polyamide. The model is equipped with a waterproof and breathable membrane and a roomy hood. The relaxed fit does not restrict movement.

The jacket is equipped with a Gore-Tex membrane that provides waterproof performance of 10 000 mm/m2. The material wicks away water vapor, which helps reduce excessive sweating. Thermal comfort is also improved by side ventilation openings, closed with waterproof zippers.

The model features five practical pockets:

• two roomy pockets at chest height, closed with a zipper
• two pockets placed on the shoulders, closed with a zipper
• one inner pocket, closed with a zipper

The main two-way zipper was made by the Japanese company YKK. It is covered by a velcro-secured windproof strip finished with a chin guard. A velcro panel is placed on the left shoulder for attaching any patches and emblems, for example a national flag, unit insignia, or so-called Morale Patches.

The adjustable, deep hood with drawstrings is roomy enough to allow a helmet to be worn underneath. The cuffs are adjusted with a velcro-fastened tab, allowing the sleeves to be fitted to the wrists. The waist drawstring makes it easier to adjust the jacket to the body. A compression sack is included.

MultiCam is a modern camouflage pattern developed in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in cooperation with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. Its goal was to create a universal camouflage pattern effective in diverse terrain and changing environmental conditions.

The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colors, creating gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. Thanks to this, it dynamically adapts to the background, taking on shades of green in woodland areas or browns and beiges in desert regions - in the environment of Central and Eastern Europe, it works particularly well in autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained recognition worldwide and is used by numerous armed forces and special units. In 2010, the camouflage was officially adopted by the US Army as the camouflage pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the earlier Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available to civilian users, making it a popular choice among military surplus and airsoft enthusiasts.

Survival and bushcraft: Thanks to effective protection from moisture and wind, the jacket performs well during camps and overnight stays in the field. Additional ventilation improves comfort during exertion.

Trekking: The model performs well during long hikes, combining low weight with effective protection from rain and wind. The deep hood and high collar increase comfort in demanding weather conditions.
