Carinthia MIG 5.0 Jacket - Olive

Insulated jacket in olive designed for use in low temperatures down to -15 degrees Celsius and in changing weather conditions. It was developed as an insulating layer that provides a high level of thermal protection.

The model combines G-Loft synthetic insulation, windproof Carinthia SOF 2L outer material, an adjustable hood, and an advanced pocket system. Underarm ventilation zippers allow efficient release of excess heat during marching or work requiring greater effort.

The outer layer is made of Carinthia SOF 2L based on polyamide. The material is lightweight, windproof and hydrophobic, which helps limit cold air penetration and the absorption of light moisture. The jacket lining is made of 100% polyamide. Critical areas of the jacket are reinforced with Cordura.

The fabric was developed for use in demanding environments; it stands out for its high wind resistance and hydrophobic finish. The hydrophobic outer layer limits moisture absorption during brief contact with light precipitation or wet surroundings.

Warmth is provided by G-Loft synthetic insulation made of 100% polyester. Depending on the jacket zone, 2 weight levels (ISO Mapping) were used:

• sleeves: 80 g/m

A greater amount of fill in the torso area protects the most important parts of the body from cooling down. A lighter layer in the sleeves reduces their bulk and makes arm movement easier, including when working with equipment.

G-Loft fibers trap warmed air inside the insulating layer, helping maintain thermal comfort. The inside of the jacket features a quilted chamber layout. The stitching keeps the insulation in the correct position and helps maintain even fill distribution.

The jacket is equipped with a practical set of pockets. External pockets placed on the front provide easy access to handy items, while sleeve pockets allow you to carry small pieces of equipment that need to be found quickly.

Inside there are mesh pockets. An additional internal zippered pocket provides a secure place for the most important items, such as documents, a phone, or other accessories.

The front YKK zipper features a split front zip solution that increases range of motion while sitting, riding in a vehicle, and carrying equipment. The design reduces pressure in the lower part of the jacket and allows it to better adapt to body position. This solution is especially important when working in a vehicle, taking a shooting position, and performing dynamic movements while wearing a belt or tactical vest.

One of the most important solutions used in the MIG 5.0 model is the Side Access System. Full-length side zippers run from the bottom edge of the jacket to a point below the armpits.

When unzipped, they provide direct access to equipment carried on the belt without the need to open the jacket from the front. The system makes it easier to use holsters, magazines, tools, pouches, and other accessories.

The jacket is equipped with an integrated hood, which additionally protects the head and neck from wind and cold. The sleeves are finished with adjustable cuffs fastened with velcro.
