Carinthia HIG 5.0 Jacket - Olive
Insulated jacket in olive, designed for use in low temperatures down to -20 degrees Celsius and in changeable weather. Developed as an insulating layer that provides a high level of thermal protection.
The model combines synthetic G-Loft insulation, windproof Carinthia SOF 2L outer material, an adjustable hood, and an extensive pocket system. Underarm ventilation zippers allow excess heat to be efficiently released during hiking or work that requires greater effort.
Carinthia SOF 2L outer material
The outer layer is made from Carinthia SOF 2L based on polyamide. The material is lightweight, windproof and hydrophobic, which helps limit cold air penetration and the absorption of light moisture. The jacket lining is made of 100% polyamide.
The fabric was developed for use in demanding environments; it stands out for its high wind resistance and hydrophobic finish. The hydrophobic outer layer limits moisture absorption during brief contact with light precipitation or wet surroundings.
G-Loft insulation - warmth and comfort
Warmth retention is ensured by synthetic G-Loft insulation made of 100% polyester. Depending on the jacket zone, 2 grammage levels (ISO Mapping) were used:
- body: 145 g/m
- sleeves: 110 g/m
A greater amount of fill in the torso area protects the most important parts of the body from cooling down. The lighter layer in the sleeves reduces their bulk and makes arm movement easier, including when working with equipment.
G-Loft fibers trap warmed air inside the insulating layer, helping maintain thermal comfort. The inside of the jacket features a quilted chamber layout. The stitching keeps the insulation in the correct position and helps maintain even fill distribution.
practical pocket system
The front of the jacket features 2 vertical pockets closed with zippers. Their placement provides convenient access to carried items, even while wearing a backpack.
The sleeves feature 3 pockets fastened with zippers. Inside the jacket there are pockets (2 mesh and 1 zippered), intended for carrying essential small items.
two-way zipper, hood, ventilation zippers
The jacket is equipped with a two-way zipper. The model has an integrated hood stowed in a high collar. The high stand-up collar shields the neck and nape from cold air.
On the sides of the jacket, in the underarm area, there are long ventilation zippers. The openings run along the side panels and allow a quick increase in airflow inside the jacket without having to unzip the main zipper.
adjustable cuffs and bottom hem
Cuffs adjustable with velcro closures allow the sleeve circumference to be fitted to the wrists and gloves. The lower part of the jacket is equipped with an adjustment system that allows its circumference to be tailored to the body.
