Woodland, also referred to as U.S. Woodland or M81, is a traditional camouflage pattern that was introduced to the US Armed Forces in the early 1980s, deriving from the earlier ERDL camouflage. It was the primary pattern used by the US military for more than two decades until the close of the first decade of the 21st century. This pattern is defined by large, uneven patches in hues of green, brown, beige, and black, offering excellent camouflage and distortion capabilities, particularly in forested regions.
