The merino wool scarf is very comfortable, pleasant to the touch, and versatile. It effectively protects both the neck and head from the cold, wicks moisture well, and works great both during city walks and in the outdoors.
Buff Safety Merino Wool Protective Scarf - Cedar
The protective scarf crafted from 100% certified merino wool, sourced from mulesing-free farms, stands out due to its lightweight, elastic, and soft, pleasant material composition. It complies with EU Regulation 2016/425 on Personal Protective Equipment, aiding in body heat regulation. The quick-drying fabric offers UV protection and effectively prevents odor, making it an excellent option as a layer beneath a helmet.
Merino wool and flat seams
Made entirely of natural, sourced without mulesing merino wool. The fabric is characterized by lightness, elasticity and soft texture. The use of two flat seams reduces the risk of chafing, affecting the comfort of the wearer regardless of the conditions.
Moisture wicking, UV protection, heat resistance
Natural merino wool fibers help maintain optimal body temperature, effectively wick away moisture and reduce odor. The fabric dries quickly, protects against UV radiation and exhibits resistance to elevated temperatures. It works well as a layer worn under a helmet.
Meets the standards set for Personal Protective Equipment and IWTO
Complies with the requirements of the EU PPE regulations (EU Regulation 2016/425). The wool used is sourced from certified farms that operate in accordance with IWTO guidelines and exclude the practice of mulesing.

Buff is a Spanish brand known for producing versatile outdoor accessories, present on the market since 1991. Its history began with the idea of Joan Rojas, who developed the first seamless microfiber neckwear, created to provide protection from wind and sun during motorcycle trips around Catalonia. Buff products are made from high-quality technical materials such as CoolNet® UV with HeiQ Smart Temp cooling technology and a UPF 50+ filter, providing effective protection against UV radiation. The brand also uses eco-friendly Repreve® fibers made from recycled PET bottles. The range also includes specialized lines with increased resistance - a flame-resistant line using Nomex® fibers and a cut-resistant line based on Anti-Cut Dyneema® technology. Buff accessories are designed for users operating in extreme conditions - from uniformed services, to rescue workers, to industrial personnel.

Buff Merino is a great product and truly top-class. It keeps you pleasantly cool in summer and effectively warm in winter. It provides a high level of thermal comfort, characteristic of merino wool. On top of that, it dries quickly and does not pick up unpleasant odours as fast as polyester.
-
Buff Merino Lightweight stands out from the rest. On hot days, it wicks away moisture perfectly and dries incredibly fast. In winter, it keeps you warm, and if you wear two at the same time, it insulates even better. It does exactly what merino wool is famous for – it provides thermal comfort no matter the weather.
-
What can you say about a neck warmer? Those who use it will appreciate it. I have already tested many different options: cotton, synthetic, thinner, thicker, well-known brands, and those cheaper ones from sporting goods stores. I am convinced that this neck warmer will stay with me for a long time. Merino really makes a difference—I recommend it wholeheartedly.
-
The scarf is quite light and thin, as is typical for Merino, but despite that it performs its job well. It might be too light for winter, but during windy days in the field in spring or autumn it works perfectly.
-
The scarf is functional and of good quality – it really is thin, but that's exactly how it was supposed to be :) It also seems a bit shorter than described, which I think is an advantage, because less material wraps around the neck.
-
Despite good reviews of the brand, the Buff scarf turned out to be average – the material is not very durable and small holes started to appear quickly. Other than that, everything else is fine.
-
Very good scarf, made of nice, lightweight material that also insulates well against the cold. You can easily pull it over your head and use it as a balaclava. It's great for running. Highly recommended.

I just received this product and these are my first impressions: Very thin scarf with a pleasant feel. It weighs 40g and measures 54x24.5 cm. So it's far from the 70 cm length in the offer. That's why I only give 3 stars for this product.
-
A good quality product. The material is very pleasant to the touch, not scratchy, and feels like cotton, even though it's wool. Unfortunately, it's quite thin. The biggest advantage of this neck warmer is its adequate length – thanks to this, you can layer it or turn it into a hat, which was important to me. I'm taking off one star for the thinness of the material and the price.

The buff is very thin but warm. I recommend rinsing it in water before first use, then the buff will become soft. This is already my second one, previously I bought it in another store but it was 30% more expensive. In this military store the price is lower and the product is the same, I bought it because I already knew what I was buying. Satisfied with the purchase.

Very functional, protects the neck well from the wind. Personally, however, I prefer the polyester series because this one can feel slightly scratchy, although it's not bothersome enough to stop wearing it, especially in low temperatures.
