The antenna is indeed very long, but it significantly improves the range of the Baofeng radio, and the price matches the quality of this product. I also have a shorter version of this antenna, but this one performs much better.

Flexible antenna crafted for Baofeng radios and compatible models. Built with metal strips, it can be folded at two or three points. The exterior is covered with rubber protection, safeguarding the antenna from physical damage.
Significantly enhances the transmission and reception range. Featuring a wideband SMA-F (female) connector, it accommodates a broad array of radios. Although its length is 80 cm, the flexible structure permits easy bending and transport. A fabric velcro is included, enabling the antenna to be secured in a folded position.

After installing the antenna on the radio, there is a small gap between the antenna and the device. In the field, it's worth bringing a long antenna for a stationary radio, though even when folded into three parts, it is quite large. However, the signal boost is clearly noticeable. I recommend it.

It works flawlessly, allowing for reception of more stations than the standard antenna in the UV5R, and there are no strange interferences, which improves scanning quality. Only when unscrewing the cover did it become a little loose once, exposing the inside, but after tightening it more firmly, everything was fine.
