Badger Outdoor Folding Shovel

The shovel has many advantages: it's compact, easy to unfold and fold, the blade is quite sharp, and it feels good in hand during use. Unfortunately, the mounting of the blade to the first hinge could be better—two rivets and a thin sheet make it deform more with each use. It’s been with me on several trips and still works, but a different mounting system would significantly extend its life.

This is a recent purchase, haven’t tested it outdoors yet, but while trying it out I noticed at least four ways you can use it, which gives plenty of possibilities. Nice flat spike, almost like a bayonet. Handy for the car or a trip. It’s not super light, I’d think twice before taking it in a backpack.

For light digging in the car, it works quite well. It's light, doesn't take up much space when folded, and unfolds quickly. Unfortunately, when it comes to quality, it's not the best - unstable and falls apart quickly. It probably wouldn't last long in harder ground.

For this price, it’s okay, although the quality could be better—it bends easily and the coating comes off quickly with heavy use. Its practical size and mattock are a plus. I recommend it to everyone when it's on sale.

Solid entrenching tool, the only downside is the paint wearing off (mainly from the spade). The pickaxe is a plus, useful for hard soils, plus a decent saw. Overall, I recommend it.

Nice and practical thing at a low price. The shovel has three modes: small pickaxe, 90-degree angle setting, and spade. The mounting could be more solid. Ideal for simple tasks, worth keeping in the car.

Good shovel for digging out a wheel from mud or snow, though there is play in the mounts and the paint wears off quickly during use. After working in sand, the mechanism can get sandy and harder to operate.

Cheap, light, small entrenching tool. Good to carry in the car or use occasionally on trips. For more frequent use, it's better to find something more durable.

I think some people may have trouble locking it at first, so it doesn't fold, but once you manage, no one will be disappointed.

It is lightweight, inexpensive, takes up little space, and works well for light soil work, but it is not suitable for heavier tasks like digging up roots.

This is the worst entrenching tool I've ever had. I don't know if I got a faulty piece, but while digging, it folds by itself even after tightening, so I almost pinched my finger.
