Badger Outdoor Fire Rod Flint

Fire Rod Flint serves as a practical and convenient tool for igniting fires rapidly and effectively. Its ease of use and capability to produce an intense stream of sparks make it an excellent option for camping, survival expeditions, or emergencies. This tool enables effortless lighting of a campfire, starting a hiking or gas stove, offering a dependable source of heat and allowing for meal preparation in outdoor settings.

Ferrocerium - a reliable source of fire

The flint consists of a robust ferrocerium rod, a unique metal alloy, measuring 67 mm in length and 8 mm in diameter, ensuring durability and effortless use. A firm pull of the attached spark igniter emits a dense stream of sparks, successfully igniting your fire starter. This effect occurs due to the oxidation of cerium within the rod, causing self-ignition.

This rod generates sparks at a temperature of 3000 degrees C, enabling the effective lighting of a fire even in rainy conditions or at low temperatures.

Easy to use, Spark igniter with bottle opener

The set includes a metal spark igniter in the form of a serrated plate, which not only effectively generates sparks, but also acts as a bottle opener. This practical solution increases its versatility in the field.

The small size of the flint allows easy storage - it fits in a pants pocket, a backpack compartment or a small bag. Using the tool is comfortable both with gloves and bare hands, making it practical for any situation.

The Badger Outdoor Fire Rod is an indispensable gadget for fans of survival, bushcraft, and trekking. It produces an intense shower of sparks, making it quick and easy to start a fire even in unfavorable conditions. Its durable construction and handy size allow you to always have it on hand. It is solid, easy to use, and matches the product description. I highly recommend it!

I bought it as a backup fire starter, but it’s just as good as my more expensive ferro rods. The product is coated with black paint that needs to be scraped off before first use, after which it throws sparks nicely. It’s small, so it fits perfectly in one corner of my first aid kit.

Good fire starter, it's a bit thinner than my previous one, but that doesn't make much of a difference. It fits easily in a backpack or bag, doesn't take up much space, so you can always have it on hand. I recommend it.

I recommend this fire starter for both adults and youth, who can be taught how to use such equipment. Very good price-to-quality ratio. The set comes with a practical metal striker on a cord, so you don't need to use other tools like a knife for making sparks.

The Badger Outdoor Fire Rod works great both during trips to the forest and for everyday carrying in a backpack—in case you need to start a fire. It is solid, convenient to use, and has an affordable price. I definitely recommend it!

A great solution for people who don't have a lighter with them. The spark generator is included in the set, it is always at hand. It also contains a centimeter scale and a string that secures the elements from being lost.

The product was used only a few times and it already fell apart 🙄 I do not recommend buying it! I was tempted by the low price, but it's not worth the trouble. Luckily, my son had a better solution.

Simple and effective product, I have no complaints. The only downside is the edges of the spark striker – they have different shapes, so some are less comfortable for striking sparks (it may also be due to my lack of skill in using the tool).

Durable fire starter at a good price. It produces a lot of sparks, which makes it easier to start a fire even in unfavorable conditions. The sparks easily light kindling. I definitely recommend it to bushcraft enthusiasts.

The flint and its knife for making sparks arrived well packaged and without any damage. Not tested yet. It will be included in the emergency kit.

The fire starter serves its purpose – it works flawlessly. The build quality could be a bit better and sturdier, but for this price, you can’t complain. I recommend it.

I have had a hard time getting any sparks from this using the included striker so I would recommend using a knife or something else. For the price it's acceptable to buy and try to see how you get on lighting fires and if that works for you then maybe spend a bit more money on something that is higher quality especially if its something you're going to rely on.

It's definitely suitable for learning, however, the metal strip is of poor quality and the rod often falls out of the holder. As a first fire starter for learning, it's okay to check if you even need it, or if you prefer to stick with classic matches or a lighter.

A solid and uncomplicated fire starter, I recommend using a knife to ignite because the included metal piece generates sparks, but not very intense ones. Unfortunately, the downside is that the fire starter can slip out of the plastic handle.

The fire starter fulfills its function and at this price it is completely sufficient. It serves specific tasks and performs them exactly, and is easy to store and use.
