durable outer material and DWR coating

The outer part is made 100% from durable polyamide, which features exceptional abrasion resistance and weather resistance. The hydrophobic DWR coating (free of harmful PFC compounds) improves resistance to moisture and dirt.

Waterproof HDTX membrane, taped seams, and splashproof zippers

The Ararat model is equipped with an HDTX membrane, which guarantees waterproofing at a level of 10,000 mm/m2 and breathability at a level of 10,000 g/m2/24 h. This effectively protects against heavy rainfall and wind while wicking excess moisture away. Additional rain protection is provided by durable taped seams and splashproof zippers.

DuPont Sorona filling for thermal comfort

Under the soft lining is a synthetic DuPont Sorona filling, offering high thermal insulation with low weight. The model is designed to provide warmth comparable to traditional, thick winter jackets, remaining much lighter and more comfortable to wear. The elongated fit further protects the lower body from cold.

4 PRACTICAL POCKETS

The jacket is equipped with a total of four pockets:

  • one chest pocket
  • two side pockets
  • one inside pocket

Each pocket is equipped with a zipper with a pull tab, making it easy to open and close even while wearing gloves.

adjustable hood with visor and warm fleece

The model features an integrated hood with a two-zone adjustment (around the face and at the back of the head), allowing for a precise fit. The rigid visor provides additional protection against rain and wind. The inside of the hood is finished with a soft Polartec microfleece, enhancing thermal comfort and effectively protecting against cold.

zipper, adjustable cuffs, reflective elements

Two-way zipper for closing the jacket is placed slightly above the bottom edge of the material, providing greater freedom of movement. Cuffs are equipped with Velcro, allowing them to be conveniently adjusted to wrists or gloves.

High stand-up collar effectively protects the neck from the wind, and the Alpinus Safety reflective elements placed on the hood increase safety when moving in the dark.

    Light, snug-fitting, pleasant against the body, the material is high quality, size S fit well for height 173 cm and weight 70 kg, I recommend it, suitable for autumn, I liked the length, it covers everything that needs protection from the wind.

    The jacket is really great – very well made from lightweight material. It is light and you won't overheat in it. Size L is suitable for a person who is 178 cm tall and weighs 76 kg – you can easily fit a thin fleece or sweatshirt underneath. It looks a bit like a coat because it is longer than a standard jacket.

    For a long time, I was looking for an olive military-style jacket, but I didn't want a parka. I came across this model by chance. I am already familiar with the Alpinus brand – for years, I've been using their Ornak 30 backpack and am very satisfied with it. So, I decided to order the jacket with the option to return it if it didn't meet my expectations. I was not disappointed. During the New Year's frost, the jacket did great. It's very well made, and the color looks fantastic in reality. The hydrophobic material worked well during heavy snowfall. The high collar with hood effectively protects against the wind, and the parka length covers the kidneys. The two-way, taped zipper is very useful when driving, which is important to me because I drive often. I'm very satisfied with my choice and don't regret my decision. I would definitely buy it again. Size L fits perfectly for my height of 185 cm and weight of 90 kg, and I have a rather slim build. I usually wear a merino sweater or a thicker cotton shirt underneath. I wholeheartedly recommend it – another successful purchase from Alpinus.
